This shortfall becomes problematic as soon as, like me, you come across a situation in which there is no Hue bulb available that fits a socket
-
The bulbs are a bit too dim and there is no way to change their default on settings when coming back on from power loss
-
These are rather expensive bulbs to only last 1 month.
-
Also, the LED bulbs last years, so the price difference becomes negligible if you realize that you are going to use this for years or even decades (hopefully).
-
The bulbs are brighter than I expected, but they could still be brighter
-
All bulbs are compatible across gens so make sure you know what you are getting

The Flux app has similar features but is clunky and not intuitive, the bulbs have connectivity issues and sometimes didn't work, and the bulbs weren't very "smart" - if I turned them off/on outside of their programmed times to turn off/on, they would do weird things and not work properly
-
The bulbs are very capable and have good flexibility, the weakness is in the software.
-
Not sure I would bother with the white ones as I could just use smart switches and standard bulbs
-
Love these bulbs
-
Nice bulbs, colors little off when telling Alexa, but will be buying more

-
I got these for Christmas and the bulbs are awesome!
-
These bulbs are awesome
-
Bright bulbs, but it's just a party trick
-
Useless and overpriced "smart light bulb"
-
These are very expensive bulbs to replace; why should the burden be on the customer who paid a substantial amount for them to have to jump through hoops to receive a replacement for a defective product as determined by the manufacturer?
-
Love these light bulbs
-

Amazing, just bought 8 more bulbs !!

And if you don't care about color... honestly using smart switches instead of bulbs makes for a much more seamless transition into "smart" lighting.
-
The bulbs themselves are shaped a bit different than traditional bulbs, having a mostly covered base with a small frosted window at the top (opposed to a fully frosted design like a typical light bulb)
-
Useless and overpriced "smart light bulb"

They required that I find a box of my own, package up the defective bulb and return it to them using their prepaid Fed Ex account and then wait 7-10 days while they test the defective bulb and send a replacement bulb.
-
We really like these bulbs
-
The light bulbs are very expensive and if you need to use the warranty Philips Hue makes it almost impossible to do so
-
Keep in mind, the bulbs are already set up to work with each hub
-
The bulbs are responsive and I haven't had any problems with non responsiveness
-
Works great I love these bulbs so much
-
The bulbs and colors are awesome
-
I prefer TP-Link smart plugs and bulbs.
-
It’s true you have to leave the lights powered on & allow the app or Alexa to turn the bulbs off or dim them
-
Love these light bulbs.
-
And, I recommend having a mix of regular bulbs and these -- going all smart bulbs seems like a bad idea (although, you can always turn on/off the Hue bulbs by using the regular light switch...it just turns them on white and to full brightness).
-

Just consider before replacing ceiling lights with Hues (or any other smart bulb) that the experience isn't complete unless you do something about your wall switches too

Additional bulbs are silly expensive.

The bulbs work most of the time, but the Philips Hue app is not consistent.
-

The bulbs are a little expensive but the features are really nice
-
my package arrived with no appearance of damage but when I opened it 2 or the 4 bulbs were shattered - still held firmly by the hard plastic packaging
-
That said, these bulbs are pretty cool
-
I love these bulbs!
-
Looks like Philips has updated the bulbs to use a plastic housing, the bulbs in the starter kit are unfortunately glass and tend to break very easily
-
Look great and gen 3 bulbs are really good
-
Great bulbs

So my first idea was to contact Twitter support, who told me "We think the bulbs are most probably faulty

The light bulbs work great with Alexa

The correct bulbs should be
