I could never figure out how to get the programming to remember the light color and dimmer settings from the day before

I already had a different brand led color bulb that worked great

The colors come in handy for vibe, but the nice warm shades of yellow and ability to have bright whites when needed really helps a make a room.

The Philips Hue system has been out for a few years and as of 2018 this is the current version (AKA "Gen 3") which is a bit brighter and has better colors than the earlier kits

They do seem to have good color rendering; look almost as good as incandescent at lower kelvin
