I love this clock

This is not a "cheap" alarm clock...it should either have a built-in battery backup, or at the very least a spot to put a pair of AAA batteries (or even a couple watch batteries!)

This is a very cool clock and I loved the look of it on my nightstand

Battery backups are pretty standard even in cheaper alarm clocks, and have been for at least 15-20 years

Between the obnoxiously bright clock numbers (I unplugged the whole thing and stuck it in the back of the closet by Day 4), the lack of a battery backup, etc, I don't tink you should waste your money here.

I like the clock overall, but for the price I was a little disappointed

great alarm clock but lacks battery power... who ever heard of an alarm clock that can't use batteries?

It definitely helps me wake up better than a normal loud and annoying alarm clock

It would have probably cost Phillips an extra $.50 per model, and I'd personally be willing to eat that for a much more effective alarm clock

3 stars because I'm planning to keep the clock as it makes waking up more pleasant, but it's lacking a feature so basic to its function that I'm still using my phone as an alarm.

It feels very lightweight, but otherwise the clock feels sleek and futuristic, not cheap

My issue was the clock kept losing time

If you're already getting 8 hours of sleep but still have trouble waking up without sunlight, I highly recommend this alarm clock

so you knock the clock over often when trying to turn it off because the clock is so light

If the whole point to the clock is that you are light-sensitive, they should have the option for the clock to go dark at night

As someone who has about 12 LEDs in her room at night, I don't need another bright clock staring at me as I sleep

This is a pretty good alarm clock and definitely a gentle way to wake up

I cannot use this clock anymore after my electricity went out and messed up the clock somehow.

This clock is awesome

As someone who is just a few chloroplasts short of photosynthesizing, this light up clock is very helpful during the winter/ on overcast days when the sun is not around

The clock is indeed far too bright even at lowest setting and impossible to resolve due to the design.
