These write as smooth as any other G2, but give you a level of precision you won't get from even the normal fine point (0.5 mm)
I write pretty small, and the extra fine (0.5mm) and ultra fine (0.38mm) are perfect for me

So Pilot G2 pens are my only choice, usually the 0.5mm (extra fine point), but I keep the 0.7 (fine point) and the 0.38 (ultra fine point) available too

I love the quality of these pens- they write beautifully and last fairly long
The ultra fine point makes it difficult to write on certain surfaces and impedes on my ability to take quick, legible notes, but these pens are of great quality.

I love these pens, ultra fine point .38, very smooth writing and clean lines.
I use them for chemistry lab, because my hand writing is awful
The writing that I can do with these is extremely smooth and thin, and the pens are nice to hold
