Damp wet hands, rain, sweat, condensation from a drink... any amount of liquid moisture smudges the ink.

The only trouble I have with them is the ink is quite wet (gel, I guess), so being a lefty I have to be careful not to drag my hand across recent writing

I also like the soft grip as I write a lot and my hands and fingers get fatigued after a while
