Smooth writing, never clumpy or drippy or leaky.
On slicker paper, such as cards, I did have some smearing of my hand brushed the ink while writing, not as fast drying as I would like, but not a big deal if you are careful

There is no better retractable gel pen, at least in my experience
I love these, but not all of the colors in the pack have that smooth "G2" gel ink feel.
Pretty bad gel pens compared to the original colors black, red, and blue
This us a very smooth gel pen that I carry in my purse and use almost every day
Otherwise, however, they're about as good as an inexpensive gel pen can be.

the ink has to be pronounced and gel and it needs to be a fine point
These are the gold standard for cheap ball-point pens as they produce sharp, accurate lines for cursive style handwriting.
I like Pilot pens but these fine point pens are much over rated here
These are refills for my favorite writing pen in blue ink, the G2 fine point.

Other pens like to glob ink all over the place and then smear everywhere, but not the G2
However 3 of the colors did not work well, the ink appears to be dried out
The ink is replaceable and never stops writing until it's out
This blue pilot pens write very clean and the ink is flawless!
The ink will smudge when wet but, once dry, it is quite stable.

The only trouble I have with them is the ink is quite wet (gel, I guess), so being a lefty I have to be careful not to drag my hand across recent writing
