While that is convenient, you aren't going to get optimal sound quality over wireless vs wired, and also your phone battery will be depleting

Oh, and the sound quality was better with the bottom of the line factory stereo

It gets HD radio right out of the box, which has terrific sound quality

but personally the sound quality of Sirius is really bad

The hardware is great I love the music and sound, however the software and their operating system freezes and crashes on a constant basis to where I have to completely stop my car and turn the car

The civic support three different camera view, the deck could not change that

Hooked up to my 2012 Kia Rio integrated camera no problem, The deck has the ability to customize, and add reverse parking guide lines which is nice

The stereo is picky about the Android Auto USB cable - use the 6' USB extension cable provided and then stick a quality converter dongle on the end for USB-B or C, depending on your phone.

My phone showed it connected to the stereo, the stereo asked for a PWWhen I contacted support, this is what they told me, BTW, stereo was a 300 install

I drove an hour to the airport and a friend tried to connect his phone so he could play audio training for a trip we were taking, but this stereo and the manual were not helpful

the USB dash outlet that I had installed that was working perfectly fine for Micro USB was giving me errors when I plugged in the USB-C cable that came with my phone

This Pioneer CarPlay works great with Music, Maps Navigation and Siri

The installation went smoothly and everything is working exceptionally well.

It sounds great and has worked well for me so far, so I can't complain too much.

The backup camera works, but requires the AX-CAM6V adapter to supply the 6V supply.

A wireless camera option that works well would be nice, and should likely be included in because frankly cameras are really cheap to make (they are in everything now including toys).

The Pioneer will also work with back seat screens for DVD playback as well as a rear vehicle camera - I don't have either of those

Pioneer hasn't been very helpful either with firmware updates to resolve some of the newer issues with apple ios new releases

I can quite honestly say that even if this product were given to me free and the installation was covered that I would rather keep the 22yo factory head unit in my 80-series Land Cruiser.

I would have gave it 5 stars but pioneer's damn safety features are a pain in the butt.

The face is detachable, great feature, at least for me, when you leave the car for maintenance, repair a tire, or park somewhere where you dont think it is safe, just remove it and put it in the pouch (it is included), I think this is a great move.- Another one, is that the face of the radio can tilt, it has two positions, so depending on where the radio is located in your car, it might be more comfortable for you having the face a little bit inclined so you can see better the screen

It has some impressive features for its somewhat modest price level

If you take your car to a mechanic or to an environmental check you will need to disable the OBDII feature in the Pioneer and unplug the plug in advance, as they will need access to the

Android auto was sort of clunky and was the only reason I chose this device

I did a lot of research on Android Auto capable head units and came to the conclusion that the Pioneer AVH-4200NEX had everything I wanted

Using Android Auto and works great, a few bugs, but overall great

In theory, I could use the HU touchscreen to browse my local music collection, but Android Auto imposes a 6-tap interaction limit on all touchscreen operations.

Of note, if you turn your headlights on during the day, the screen dims because it thinks it's night time

There is a legal (Nag) screen that comes up every time you turn it on, but it goes away in about 10 seconds if you don't do anything.

Speaking of nag screens, do we really need the legalese each time I start the car?

When I do manage to call someone using the Pioneer, the screen will look like the call is connecting but it will make no sounds

If it disconnects on the third time and I am still trying to punch the button a fourth time, I accidentally call my friend Bill who is in the same position on my favorites screen as the red disconnect button

Hate:-If there is a bad file in the SD or USB stick, the deck will choke, as in it will not be able to play the next file.
