I was hesitant about the RCA outs as i have always used balanced XLR's, but I went out and bought some good quality RCA to XLR cables to run to my speakers

The controls are laid out well and the sound(White/Red RCA cable output)is decent quality since it has a soundcard

I would recommend getting the metal flight case with the laptop shelf, my first setup was seamless

It's a bit of a learning curve but is really easy to use, quick setup and preparing the tracks and move them over the crate

setup is a breeze and you're up and mixing in 3 minutes flat

Great small controller has most features you would use for a small setup, great for plugging into a house system.

This is an awesome beginner deck that you can sink hundreds of hours into without feeling like you're being held back by hardware

If you start Serato in this way, what will happen is you will only see one deck available

The other thing is you can hit Filter Fade to add 2 high pass filters to the crossfader, so you can manipulate both the volume and bass filters with one hand for effortless mixes

I've been able to beat juggle using this as well as traditional mixing

Great controller, precise mixing and nice add-ons make for a great overall deal

I have tried on numerous occasions to get the right mix down.

There are an insane amount of possibilities with this compared to other starter controllers and the best under $300

This controller is a power house of sound quality and performance which includes Hit the top 4 rubber pads to trigger Hot Cue, Auto Loop, Manual Loop and Sampler – and the bottom 4 for immediate access to Play, Cue, Sync and Shift

And while I don't have a need for any of the pads (hot cues, samples, loops) its nice to have them should I ever need them.

I think now with 4 Deck control the Pioneer DDJ SB2 is probably a better buy than the DDJ SR, the only drawback is that you have to buy the full version of serato to fully appreciate and get the most out of this controller, the DDJ SR comes bundled with the full version of serato dj

Overall it's a great buy and is probably the best controller out right now

This thing is great for starting out djing.well made, great integration with serato dj.

One thing I advise is that the software serato intro really made me mad, and if you're not going to buy serato full, I'd recommend to not buy this one

It's seriously the best thing for beginners and you really can't beat the price

I will say the only thing I was hesitant about the controller was the Master Out connections

it's worth the price but wish I didn't had to cough up an additional fee for the full version of serato dj it should of came with it like the 600 dollar package

More professional appearance, better features, easier to use, and very compatible with many controllers

but once I started using it and getting used to the functions I realized this controller is in a class by itself, the sound quality, the layout, the ease of use, the load function is hot, the most awesome feature are the cdj style jog wheels and the near perfect software to hardware integration in serato intro the responsiveness of the jogwheels is extrememly accurate for scratching, backspinning and beat juggling

Not only does it feel sturdy and professional, but it comes with a ton of cool features like filter fader, effects, and looping controls

It has more than enough features to keep the beginner busy for a LONG TIME

The only missing features for me are crossfader curve for switching from scratching to blending quickly (I'm thinking of mapping the filter fade for that as it seems a pointless feature) and

I run mme to a mixer on channels 1-2 through a second ASIO-compatible sound board (actually a Line6 X3 Live pedal board).I run mme to headphones on channels 3-4 through the Pioneer device

This board is not suitable for travel or carry just plain and simple it feels the same as a DJ board form the Xbox game
