The PS2 Silver Console is a great system, whether you're a die-hard fan or a new player. This redesigned console will meet the demands of your game playing. The internal design has been completely overhauled, and a smaller, sleeker design makes it ea...
Great product alot of memories with old systems great buy description was on the point nothing few scratches but still amazing
you can always buy a little fan, apart from the fan issue i'll strongly recommend this product, if you can't afford a PS3 or any of the NEW console available then this is the unit to have.
This product is superior to the older version of PS2 that I bought in 2000.
bought a new system because my old one went out... awesome price... awesome system
I am not goign to find a new one at a good price anymore
I am very glad I found it for such a good price on Amazon.
First off, the price today is very affordable, the game selection is excellent (new and used), and the controlers and such are very similar to PS I, so not much transition to start to play this
Compact size, affordable price, and overall hugh selection of games
Hours of fun, great graphics, one of the best action games in my opinion
Yes, it will be the same people who once praised the graphics, too
I don't think I would play any of the PS3 games, the PS2 games are cheaper and more entertaining than fancy graphics
We didn't go into each game with the mindset that each game had to have "incredible graphics", we went into each game just expecting to have fun
When a game with incredible graphics came along, such as Resident Evil 2 and Final Fantasy 7, we treated them with open arms just like we did with other games
The Silent Hill and Metal Gear Solid series were also pretty decent, but, in the case of Silent Hill, improved graphics don't necessarily mean spookier, more interesting gameplay
Silent Hill, Final Fantasy 7, Resident Evil 2, Metal Gear Solid

Whether you like action, adventure, puzzle, shooters, mmorpg's, sports, or even just watching movies (the slim ps2 makes a great dvd player with a remote), the ps2 has something for everyone, and with a new color and tiny size, its hard to pass up this time around!
It's really a bad business move on the part of Sony to never listen to ALL the phone call and email complaints that were directed to them about the DVD players inability to work correctly for most people
It also works as a DVD player as well, so I can keep it in my gameroom as the sole DVD player as well
Furthermore, the DVD player was probably added on in an attempt to make the PS2 smear the competition (which admittedly, was a strategy that WORKED, because the Gamecube has been knocked out and the Xbox never became as popular as the PS2).Even if you ignore all the negative opinions on the DVD player, you can't ignore the fact that the console itself had other problems

only thing i didnt like was that the av cord and the controller were already broken, i already had a spare av cord but i still had to go out and buy a new controller which isn't that big of a deal for me but still wish the seller would've aleast check to make sure if they still work, overall very happy with my purchase.
However, updated graphics are hardly a revolutionary thing by todays standards
phenomenal*.Here's the worst thing about judging graphics- in a few years, everyone will change their minds and look down on the Playstation 2 for having horrible-looking, dated graphics
You see, compared to the Playstation One, the PS2 had better graphics and the games took a LOT longer to complete, which, granted, is a GOOD thing
It's innovative too, the only important thing the PS2 ever had
Overall a gr8 item, the only disadvantage it doesn't carry a fan like the bigger model to cool the unit if you want to leave it plugged in for days but to solve that
you can always buy a little fan, apart from the fan issue i'll strongly recommend this product, if you can't afford a PS3 or any of the NEW console available then this is the unit to have.
I prefer this unit over X-Box original, even though X box does have a slight edge on graphics
This may not be the latest technology, but the DVD/Gaming unit is still very much a excellent unit to own
