Will work out of the box if you have the correct MIDI cable and after selecting correct mode (drum or guitar).

The MIDI adapter works well, though I feel like there's a slight time delay.

I did have to create my own custom kit on the drum module, as some of the MIDI outputs (i.e. bell on ride, and some of the rims on the toms) were not outputting a compatible MIDI signal.

Not sure if this is a problem with the product or a bug in RB3, but sometimes I have issues using the midi pro adapter to accept online invites to play Rock Band 3
