I was amazed, it worked perfectly, right out of the box - no setup at all (With the TD-4 sound module you have to reverse the plugs on the 2 cymbals to get the green & blue drums working correctly).Probably the best compliment you can pay to a piece of technology is how unobtrusive it is - once I plugged it in, I haven't given it a second thought
