The rubbery material that touches the skin is much softer and better than the original strap

The surface that records your heart measurement is a solid section material that can be easily cleaned with a swipe of a sponge after each use.

Seems to stay in place better, with the sensors being a rubbery material as opposed to a cloth-like material with the previous version.

Fairly thin but doesn't roll, soft lining material, and the material in front that picks up your heart's electrical signals is quite flexible and adds little bulk.

The material cleans up better because there is a plastic liner instead of the mesh material on the older model.

Wish they could figure out an improved transmitter-contact chest strap design.

Polar's new design is much better than their old model.

This new design is much more comfortable then the old design.

Both prior designs had very short lifespans even though quite expensive.

Makes it a pain when I take it on/off everyday, but other than that, it works as designed.

Its great suggest one get an extra one to switch off as that works well for me.

The Garmin transmitter works just fine with the Polar strap and the Polar strap is definitely more comfortable than than the Garmin strap (no chafing issues).
