Sound is excellent when you use the headphones provided, but I would replace these with higher quality headphones

Overall once I mastered the operation of the unit it plays well - don't lose those operation instructions!!. Looks and feels like a well made machine but time will tell.

it eats batteries and when I bought an adaptor it blew up my btteries in side and broke the cd

When the unit originally purchased did not work to my satisfaction, I immediately returned the portable CD player to Amazon the same day it was received.

I would recommend this product especially for audiobook listeners as it also has 5 speeds to alleviate super slow readers

The first CD player worked for a few weeks, then the speakers stopped working.

The only problem is the external speakers are weak and don't provide much in sound volume.

Sound quality of external speakers poor, with ear phones better sound.

I wish the volume could be louder when not using the headphones

It is easy to use and the volume is great even with the car running

The speakers are clear and the volume is loud enough that I can exercise without earphones.

Like other ppl noticed, the sound volume IS a bit low using the built in speakers

Just plays cds but volume is not loud enough.
