The size is good for marking key passages to flip to in my notes and are good for color-coding.

I like the 1 inch wide size as I can use an extra fine Sharpie to write a name or topic onto the tab for quick reference.

The colors are too dark if you are thinking on writing something on them (except for the yellow one).

These little flags from post-it are quite bright and nicer than the little (1/2 inch) skinny ones for marking places in books and on documents

They are very thin, though, so they are ideally not used as index tabs or anything that would require a sturdier flag

If the last thing I ever do is to peel off one of these little sticky flags, stick on a piece of paper, and write on it to tell someone what I expect them to do at that place on the paper, I will die a happy man.

However, rather than the bonus of the durable index tabs, as advertised, my multi-pack came with a highlighter pen that also has the narrow yellow post-it flags.

Some tabs are too shiny to write on - but these are not.

I was hoping to try the durable index tabs, that were indicated as being included, so this substitution left me disappointed, and I subtracted a star for false advertising

Another plus is that Amazon offers some of these as "add on items" at an even better price, so as long as you have the minimum purchase, the selection is great and the prices are fantastic.
