I tested this device in wisconsin and it did a great job in the tests.
I bough years ago to run laptops and other electronics for the kids on trips, it would not even try to run my well pump, but this 3500 does the job well
We installed this in a bus for students to plug their computers, cell phones and other devices it's done a great job,
It has been working well so far and I would purchase another if needed
Don't bother worked at half of what said 950 watt coffee pot kept popping breaker try 3 other from 200 amp to a 400 amp still no good replaced with other brand it work fine.
Is there a Power Inverter that will start and drive the Red Lion pump?The Power Bright PW2300-12 works fine on other tools such as electric drill.
Had this for some time now great product works very well.
SCC, inverter, batteries, are now all looped to true negative ground (works really well)
I attempted to use the Power Bright PW3500-12 Power Inverter to power a ½ HP Red Lion well pump, Model RL12G05-2W1V, that draws 10 Amps at 115 Volts.
I purchased this inverter to have on hand as a temporary backup to power a two wire 220V 1hp well pump supplying two 86 gallon pressure tanks in the event of a prolonged power outgage
After that, the Inverter went into overload after a few seconds each time I turned on the well pump.
Output from transformer to well pump wiring using NEMA 6-20P plug and 12 gauge wire
Clearly the inverter is not capable of delivering the advertised power and will definitely not run my well pump.
I contacted Power Bright customer service, and they arranged conference call with me
Quick update, the A/C actually sucks about 4,600 watts for a good 10 seconds before it drops down to regular watt at 890 watts.

The unit is well thought out, with electrical connections spaced appropriately to reduce the chance of an accidental short circuit

The LED voltage meter appears to be quite accurate.
The watt meter also went intermittent from 0 to displaying actual watts being drawn whenever it felt like it
Unit arrived with jittery-flaky meter reading numbers, and dead battery for remote
Seems to work good but first big surge killed the watt meter
Watt meter did not read anything and the remote was broke.
