Power Bright PW2300-12 Power Inverter 2300 Watt 12 Volt DC To 110 Volt AC

    • I purchased this inverter to have on hand as a temporary backup to power a two wire 220V 1hp well pump supplying two 86 gallon pressure tanks in the event of a prolonged power outgage
    • Output from transformer to well pump wiring using NEMA 6-20P plug and 12 gauge wire
    • The purpose of my comment is to confirm that this 12V/110V 6,000W modified sine wave inverter will indeed start and run a 1hp well pump
    • I attempted to use the Power Bright PW3500-12 Power Inverter to power a ½ HP Red Lion well pump, Model RL12G05-2W1V, that draws 10 Amps at 115 Volts.
    • Clearly the inverter is not capable of delivering the advertised power and will definitely not run my well pump.
    • I have a Red Lion RL12G05-2W1V ½ hp water well pump that specifies 10 amps at 115 volts and a 25 amp circuit breaker with a 10 second delay.
    • works great on running the refrigeration equipment i use it for, A single door ice merchandiser on a trailer for ice deliveries, and my HVACR vacuum pump....
    • After that, the Inverter went into overload after a few seconds each time I turned on the well pump.
    • I purchased this inverter to have on hand as a temporary backup to power a two wire 220V 1hp well pump supplying two 86 gallon pressure tanks in the event of a prolonged power outgage
    • When I turn on the pump switch, there is no indication that the pump started and the Overload LED Indicator Light comes on immediately
    • total).Three of the inverter's 110V outlets were ganged (parallel) into one receptacle (NEMA 5-20R) in order to plug into the transformer's standard input plug (NEMA 5-15P) and have sufficient amps for well pump
    • I bough years ago to run laptops and other electronics for the kids on trips, it would not even try to run my well pump, but this 3500 does the job well
    • No wires became even warm in the 90 seconds it takes the well pump to charge the pressure tanks from 40 psi to 60 psi, not even the 14 gauge wire the transformer comes standard with for its input.
    • It had no problem starting the well pump and showed 2,300W continuous with well pump running
