The unit worked fantastically for about a month running a fridge, gas oven, lights, tv, fans, and everything else we plugged in

Unit instantly popped and smoked.

It would seem this would make a fine portable power unit for doing service work - say in your truck etc.

well do not buy this unit ..just bought a 2200 and i called florida to see if i could get some help..the guy on the phone could care less...did not ask for my name phone or email

I liked the unit because it had a remote control making it easier than opening the bunk to turn on the replaced unit

We did this the entire time we were on the road and the unit was never even warm to the touch

I tested up to 2.5 kW, unit showed no stress, fan turned on after a few minutes

If I had my druthers, I'd druther have a pure sine wave unit, as my UPS units for my computers refuse to start up on the modified sine wave

Well, this unit is a *Beast* and I mean that in a good way!

I was pleased to find out that support was in the United States by english speaking technicians!I would recommend this unit.

Initially the unit worked when powering a fridge as an initial test.

The new unit works perfectly from anywhere in my house.

I figured the unit was dead but, it turned back on

so I think this unit is bad.

Also the unit makes a clicking noise when started which seems to be tied the the amount of power being used after some time it does seem to go away

We installed this unit and it worked for about 1 year then stopped working

dumb move .. stick to the heavy duty more dependable units at the truck stops and i promise you you will get more help at a truck stop..

however I would add that the 300W rating is certainly not a continuous rating and thus I would expect the unit to begin to warm even at moderate load after 5-10 hours of use

I owned this for about 4 months and likely only have 2 hours total run time, this unit started smoking and would not turn off

Unit performed well in the hot dusty desert at all power levels for over a week with no issues

Unit is hefty and difficult to mount as the mounting holes are blocked by the positive battery connector

The unit is well thought out, with electrical connections spaced appropriately to reduce the chance of an accidental short circuit

The unit is almost silent at 150 watt load.

The unit is not very compact and needs proper ventilation to avoid damaging from over heating

great unit,runs a/c's,tv's,coffee maker, but not microwave because of sine wave

If all you needed was to charge cordless batteries a much smaller unit would be fine.
