The Clasp on the front that keeps the top flap secured sees to be made of a good Hard plastic and has a nice design that makes it easy to open and closeThe pocket area of the pouch is a good size, My note 5 with a Slim case will fit in the pocket with a little extra wiggle room, but this in no way would allow the phone to come out of the pouch, a friend of mine has a note 5 in a life proof type case and his phone fit in the pocket very snuggley

The Molle design makes it versatile to attach anywhere on my Molle hiking bag, even upside down thanks to the clip that holds the flap shut instead of just Velcro that could come loose

and he loves it and is very happy with the quality knowing his phone is safe both in the way it attaches to his belt or pants and in the way it keeps the phone in place.

I use a carabiner clip to add additional security against loosing my phone.

We've ordered others that didn't fit his belt, this one works with larger sized belts and keeps his phone secure.
