The quality of the preamps was very nice, when recording went ok.
The sound quality is great and is still continuing to surprise me
if your considering, dont wait, BUY IT now, i am using it now and it went above and beyond what i was expecting (even after goofing around with it at my friends, with my drum mics that add up to about maybe 400 dollars alltogether i can record amazing AMAZING studio quality drums... that i am more then satisfied with
and I'm really happy with the results I'm getting...professional sound quality.

I am going to probably get the Roland Octa-capture OCTA-CAPTURE - Hi-Speed USB 2.0 Audio Interface, which is USB-based, is more feature-rich, and gets positive feedback for reliability and performance both on Amazon and in online support forums.
I still think it has great features and would have kept it if it worked for me.
It works great out of the box with zero hassle and has a lot of nice features the FireStudio doesn't have - of course for almost twice the price it better have some extra features!
