Reviews around way (5.00 of 5)

  • You will find your biggest problems lie with marking of objectives and the "helpful" way the game gives you directions.
  • Great visuals, the story will surprise you in a good way (no spoilers), cool weapons
  • but eventually you'll figure out the best ways to use weapons, your surroundings, and amass enough ammo to feel comfortable taking everything on
  • This game is great in it's own ways, seperate from the Prey of years ago
  • Hacking, various types of weapons, gimmick guns that are super fun, optional ways to traverse the environment both by stealth and means, fantastic sense of place, option to play as male/female, crafting
  • Read remaining 6 reviews for way

Reviews around play (5.00 of 5)

  • If you like creepy, first-person, sci-fi/horror games then I think this is certainly a gem worth playing
  • This is one of the best games I've played in the last few years

Reviews around music (5.00 of 5)

  • The music is also pretty fantastic in terms of
  • The music, visuals, voice acting, combat, mystery and more will impress and I can assure you won’t play another game like this with such attention to detail!

Reviews around job (5.00 of 5)

  • Amazon did a great job getting it to me on-time, but I just wasn't a fan.
  • Bethesda does a good job with Prey, but if could have been great.
  • Later in the game, you can acquire alien abilities but be wary as they will turn your own defense system (turrets) against you.+ Bethesda always does a good job at gamifying tasks within the game

Reviews around combination (5.00 of 5)

  • Like Bioshock, your "weapons" are a combination of "guns" and psychic abilities, which can be upgraded as you progress through the game.
  • feel like a perfect combination of Half-life and Alien Isolation.
  • Nice Combination of Bioshock, Deus Ex, with a little Metroid Prime sprinkled in.

Reviews around ability (3.95 of 5)

  • The skill tree and abilities are perfect for the game and include human and alien trees to choose from
  • Bullets are hard to come by and easily spent, so the ability to recycle junk into various forms of matter, in order to use the Fabricators to create bullets, med-kits, suit repairs and other useful objects, is incredibly important to your progression through the story
  • The ability to increase damage, accuracy, dampen recoil and so on, will help you deal with larger, less vulnerable enemies faster
  • Similarly, the ability to upgrade your own skills, as well as the features of your suit and Psychoscope (and scanner you find a few hours into the story), is nicely put together and impressive as you start to acquire new ones
  • At first, you'll only have access to some basic "human" abilities that increase your sneakiness, your speed, your strength, ability to repair, hack, etc, but later you'll be able to start using alien abilities as well.

Reviews around weapon (3.86 of 5)

  • Theres so many possibilities to do every quest given all of the crazy upgrades, weapons, and powers you can get which likely will have me wanting to replay it when I finish
  • Great visuals, the story will surprise you in a good way (no spoilers), cool weapons
  • These are all vulnerable to bullets/wrench attacks, so the Shotgun and pistol are highly valuable weapons to have
  • Learn skills, collect objects and craft items/weapons if you want, figure out how to reach objectives using clues, defeating enemies, reading emails, finding the right weapon
  • Like Bioshock, your "weapons" are a combination of "guns" and psychic abilities, which can be upgraded as you progress through the game.

Reviews around lot (3.86 of 5)

  • Incredibly realized setting, fun weapons and alien powers, lots of side stories and character arcs to explore, skill tree that covers a lot of playstyles
  • The soundtrack, and effects, are superior to just about any game I've played this year; a masterclass in how to create edgy, creepy atmosphere (lots of random noises, creaking, squeaking) and make the player immersed in the environment
  • I do recommend you explore, but do not explore areas that the main quest has not taken you to yet...you will find a lot of resistance and many locked doors without a clue as to how to unlock

Reviews around graphic (3.55 of 5)

  • It’s a really cool story and game play style with decent graphics
  • The alien enemy designs can be a little underwhelming, and the human graphics are amazing, very reminiscent of the art style of dishonored.
  • Not clunky anymore, great graphics and sounds, and story
  • The good parts include some zero-G sequences and a reasonable number of enemies to defeat and solve minor puzzles
  • The graphics are the same as dishonored, which is perfect, and the environment is amazing
  • Read remaining 9 reviews for graphic

Reviews around thing (3.00 of 5)

  • Weapons were available enough to not be annoying (it's not one of those games like Resident Evil where you need to conserve every scrap to succeed), and things you drop you can pick up again if you need a slot or two
  • When you take the best things from Bioshock and Deadspace and combine them, Prey is the amazing result.
  • The good parts include some zero-G sequences and a reasonable number of enemies to defeat and solve minor puzzles
  • The load screens take forever and a day and sometimes things aren't explained good enough but other than that its a fun game
  • The whole time, I wanted to side with Alex, but he would do things to impede my progress, assuming that I was going to side with January

Reviews around gameplay (2.86 of 5)

  • If you enjoyed Bioshock you will love this games gameplay
  • In summary, on the upside, gameplay is excellent, in-game graphics are fantastic, atmosphere is creepy, chilling and wonderfully put together
  • The gameplay feels a little clunky but the graphics are good.
  • On the downside, gameplay can be repetitive, side missions are not always fun or rewarding or indeed, well-timed, and the game feels longer than it probably should be by a number of hours (of course that is subjective, I just felt it should be at a conclusion around now, being 23hrs in and not having completed all of the sub-missions
  • The smooth gameplay, long game time (most outlets are starting to conclude you’re looking at 18-35 hours), to even the killer music when you complete an objective, Prey has a lot to give you for $60
  • Read remaining 15 reviews for gameplay

Reviews around space (1.36 of 5)

  • It's like a mix of Dead Space, Bioshock, Dishonored and Thief
  • A lot like Dead Space without the graphic horror
  • Gameplay is a bit like bioshock and half-life 2 with a huge "dead space" vibe to it.
  • If you loved Dead Space, do not play this game
  • It has characteristics of Skyrim, Dead Space, Bioshock, and a few others
  • Read remaining 22 reviews for space

Reviews around save (1.00 of 5)

  • but your saves will be lost sooner or later thus making it impossible to complete
  • Load times - about 1 minute if you reload a save or die, about 2 minutes when moving into another section of Talos 1.
  • Worst of which would corrupt your saves and you'd have to go back and play from old saves losing tons of progress.

Reviews around system shock (1.00 of 5)

  • If you like Deus Ex, System Shock 2, or Thief type games, get this and support the developers.
  • If you played Bio Shock or System Shock this game is for you
  • I never got a chance to play system shock but from what I hear it really captures the atmosphere
  • There is a deep underlying sense of dread that creates a great atmosphere and the game feels deeply rooted in System Shock, for those who have played it.
