I just keep coming back to these for their easy blending and rich colors.
they have a wonderful creamy rich color, great blending, nice assortment.
Bright colors, adding on layers of colors, and blending is very easy!
The colors of these pencils are really nice, I struggled to blend, as the white pencil was useless to blend with, so ordered the colorless blenders and wow, what a difference with these tools, they make the task of blending so much easier
They are far superior to the cheaper pencils l was using
so thank U for help artists to facilitate Prismacolor good
I read Prismacolor had a quality control issue with the softer pencil leads breaking when sharpening, however in my set there were only two or three pencils that had that problem
But if you are serious about your colored pencil investments and professional drawings or portraits the quality control issues of breaking lead, inconsistent centering of lead in the pencil casings and wax bloom, your money is best spend elsewhere
They are far superior to the cheaper pencils l was using
Only downfall is you use then up quickly of u color a lot like me.
I bought this set because I have always loved Prismacolor-primer colored pencils, never had issues with the lead breaking or the barrels
I bought a set late fall '17 for $49.ALSO.....if your pencil leads break as you sharpen them over and over, they have been DROPPED

I read Prismacolor had a quality control issue with the softer pencil leads breaking when sharpening, however in my set there were only two or three pencils that had that problem
and I've never had a set of pencil leads break on me as often as these do.
The lead is soft and you have to sharpen often, which is not good when the wood is crumbling.
Because I had experienced lead breakage and inferior wood casing on a smaller
However, two of the pencils in the box have split wood, which isn't what I expected from this brand.
I see the dreaded wood splitting and lead breaking issues that have begun to plague these pencils since they changed their quality standards - but surprisingly, the lead is also not as smooth and creamy as the older prismas I'm used to, despite what other reviewers claimed about the formula remaining more or less the same
I am getting broken leads, and the wood and the lead itself feel inferior
