The free DLC that will come in the future months will be a welcome addition to a great game.
If I were to give this game a numerical score I'd give it a 9/10.Oh, and Nintendo has already announced free DLC characters, and modes, will be released in the future!
Play online, play the Grand Prix, plus they have free dlc and more characters
Free upcoming DLC included to feature new characters and modes.
Wait for the free DLC as well as hopefully more game modes
There's always a trade off such as harder hitting Arms having slower attack speed, but does higher damage and punch through a lighter Arm if punched at same time, or an Arm that has a lot of attributes/abilities attach to it doesn't do a lot of damage but better for defensive maneuvers such as stun an enemy when chargedYou cannot pick the arms you want rather you use coins to play this mini-game where you hit the targets until a treasure box comes down
Arms solves this problem by offering augmented reality entertainment at a relatively low price, no wires and no encumbering headset
Was hesitant with being a brand new but ARMS is fun, challenging and looks great!
ARMS, looks like a fun game to play and it actually is pretty fun
ARMS is ridiculously fun once you start getting a grip on how the motion controls work
If I were to give this game a numerical score I'd give it a 9/10.Oh, and Nintendo has already announced free DLC characters, and modes, will be released in the future!
Some characters are slower and powerful , some can fly and some get a power boost when they're health is low, but you can't do any crazy combos
It has a lot of action and the characters are quite intriguing
You play as your choice of weird characters with super long, stretchy arms
ARMS is a game where you play with admittedly lovable characters who have slinky-like arms or hair and fight
This is an insanely fun, surprisingly deep fighting game.
ARMS is an incredibly addicting fighting game, the likes of which I have never seen before
There is a surprising amount of depth to the combat in this game, and the fighting feels fun.
The result is a very boring arena fighting game thats more of a test of patience between two players dance around one another without attacking until the clock runs out
ARMS is an incredibly addicting fighting game, the likes of which I have never seen before
I brought it over with my switch for a family reunion and all the kids were freaking out wanting to play it
Why is this game so hard on level 2 and 3?The ai cheats and mops the floor with youHow is that fun?A kids game, silly as this and ai kicks your butt on
Never played it, but my kids are addicted
I like the Grand Prix so much better with a partner since it's more chaotic and I like my kids
It's easy for both kids and adults to play against each other and enjoy.
The controls may take some getting used to but you'll have a great time playing this game and with free content updates on the way, more fun will be had.
Fight waves of enemies to get the best score and time-Party Match
So it may not be inviting for so just want to dive in with other people who have played a lot beforeThis is not a game where you can randomly flail your arms or mash buttons expecting to win out of luck as once the punch is initiated it takes time for the fist to recoil back to you
My kids are having a hard time coordinating moving the character and targeting
This game is fun, its a pretty good time with friends if you give them some time to pick up on how it plays
You smash targets until arms in present boxes appear and you hit the boxes to collect new arms
Excellent A+++
Objective is to punch the most targets and get highest score before the timer ends
No ability to map buttons, awkward exchanges caused by having the movement and aim buttons be the same, as well as having the worst fighting game camera I've ever experienced really deflated the hopes that I'd enjoy this game more than I did.
Party matches consists of putting the player into a fantastic lobby system with a number of others as the game decides how to split up the players, with varying modes including 1v1, 1v1v1, 2v2, volleyball, break the targets, basketball, and more

A story mode I believe is essential to engaging gamers to their character of choice and the omission of one is a huge missed opportunity that gives the game a generic feel
It's sort of like the break the barrels mode in Smash Bros (Wii U or 3DS) where you spend more coins for more time giving you better chances of unlocking new arms
I often find myself avoiding punches until I get a good opportunity to attack
I feel that the lack of story is a real missed opportunity and my only real complaint about the game
The short review is that it's a great game with a one missed opportunity with a lack of a real story mode

In vs mode, there are games like volleyball (where you punch an exploding ball onto the opposing team's side), a Hoops mode (where you punch your opponent and grab them to slam dunk for points) and a Headlock scramble mode (where you fight over a big helmet and use it to defeat your opponents)
You keep duking it out till one person is left standing or one team is totally knocked outV-ball.
Typical game of volleyball, but you use your arms to punch the ball back and forth until it lands on the ground scoring a point
the lack of modes mean i got bored with it pretty quickly
Excellent A+++
Where it falters is the lack of backstory given to characters in-game, super moves that lack distinction, and no customization with controls
Players with internet/other people/both - 5/5Players without - 3/5I gave this review the average of the two, 4/5, even though I desperately wanted to give it 5/5, the lack of a real story mode is a big drawback for people who want a completely solo experience.

Those all of course involve abusing your opponents and punching/throwing them around

If your opponent is like Anakin Skywalker (Starwars) in episode 3 at his last inch of health, he will most likely lose
Definitely a good way to work out while knocking your opponents down with multiple KO punches and combos.
I played the global test punch now I am playing the actual game
It's sort of like the break the barrels mode in Smash Bros (Wii U or 3DS) where you spend more coins for more time giving you better chances of unlocking new arms
But if you already played the Test Punch, it should have given you a good indicator if you like the game or not
You can either rent or wait for the next Test Punch if you're on the fence for it
Also included is 'vs Hedlok' the final boss in the game (grand prix)If you played the Global Test Punch, it's practically the same thing but with a full roster and few more game types mixed in

The characters are great, and their individual abilities, and designs are good, even fro such a small roster (10).People who are playing two player will have a fun time for awhile with the split joycon scheme, and split screen, but I think it will tire pretty quickly once you find out who is better than who
I think that this game is more built for playing with others however you will have troubles playing split screen on the switch alone so play on the big screen
Key delivered instantaneously!!Originally bought the game for split screen party fun.
