Then Bose released an update April/May 2018 and it has broken many peoples’ systems

The smaller Sonos speakers do not have headphone output, which limits its usefulness as an auxiliary speaker, which the SoundTouch 10 can do

I love it when it works however the app has trouble finding the device more often than not

but I noticed that the more devices are connected over bluetooth, the greater the delay in play back

Connecting my laptop to it via bluetooth offered a great new device to play music and video audio on

The unit also has an auxiliary audio in jack that you can use to play music off a non-Bluetooth capable device

And just about every mobile device available today has Bluetooth so you can reach the ST 10 via that technology.

The app is still a bit difficult to wade through and the setup can be a bit finicky but is overall easy with in app prompts on how to connect a new speaker

Nice sound, easy setup, and I love being able to use either my phone or the remote to do rate a song, change a preset, or adjust the volume.

Btw, the setup was easy, no problems or complaints as I was running the system with an Xperia laptop, an iPad, an android phone and a win 10 desktop with no real issues or problems.

The setup via the App was pretty straightforward - and I was able to play music off my NAS right away.

The SoundTouch app continues to play music even when the battery dies on my phone and on top of that I don't have to listen to my phone ring in the speaker because it is not connected via bluetooth, as well as text messages or reminders.

I love Bose but this one was not what I'm used to as far as sound.

First off, the service and shipping from Amazon was amazing!

If you live in an area with spotty internet service like I do, don't buy these thinking you can link them reliably.

Personally, I don't see a huge reason why you would need to use the speaker to access the services as opposed to your phone or computer and then connect to the speaker via Bluetooth, but that option is pretty cool.

The app insists on switching your wifi connection over to the Bose SoundTouch temporarily during setup, however when you do, you will lose Internet connection

More universal connections to other devices (such as Sonos does) would make this the best on the market.

If it worked that way, then the SoundTouch app wouldn't have to break the (*required*) WiFi internet connection to configure the system.

I think that it runs into issues with the poor WiFi connection in my apartment.
