Reviews around attack (5.00 of 5)

  • The grip is great and they have a wonderful, mellow attack which is perfect for most kinds of jazz.
  • The pick has a tight fast attack, but it's way too small
  • they are nice picks for fast attack and accuracy and the grip on them is stellar
  • The grip is fantastic, the pick will NOT corrode from pick slides, the sharp point gives you better attack and if you need to play fast it helps with that
  • Slightly thinner, absurdly grippy, brighter pick attack

Reviews around product (4.59 of 5)

  • I would recommend this product to any and all players!!!
  • Madness, I thought, until just a few days later I was playing faster than I ever thought possible with such a ridiculous-seeming product
  • then I was expecting did not want them to big o well ship
  • dunlop makes great products and these picks are no exception

Reviews around thickness (4.45 of 5)

  • I like the more pointed profile better than the tortex ones, and the thickness is good.
  • I like the thickness, material, and grip, but these are just too small for my hands.
  • Awesome thickness, feel so much better than regular picks!
  • they're just the right thickness and sharpness, have a fantastic grip that surpasses even tortex, and last a surprisingly long amount of time
  • Great grip, good thickness, just what I was looking for

Reviews around jazz (4.42 of 5)

  • They are basically the classic Jazz III but with some texturized grip, which works really well
  • Although I love the regular Dunlop Jazz III picks (especially for single-note lines and brief, intermittent chordwork)the Dunlop Max Grip pick does not work for me
  • If you like the regular jazz III then you will really enjoy these, great feel and really stick to your fingers
  • I love the Jazz III style picks because I always end up "shredding" when I am using them
  • These will not wear down which is amazing and they have all the same great qualities as all the other jazz III's

Reviews around use (4.37 of 5)

  • These may be called Jazz guitar picks, but I play metal and these are without question the best guitar picks I have ever used
  • Usually my picks get pretty worn out after extended play, but these show no songs of wear even after several hours of hard use per day for weeks
  • The knurled surface makes these the best picks I've ever used in terms of holding on to them
  • These are the best picks I have ever used and I am coming back to get more of these when I need to get more picks.
  • They're the most durable picks I've used, I do a lot of pick slides and the strings don't dig into the sides of these pups

Reviews around guitar (4.32 of 5)

  • I don't think there's a better guitar pick on the market than Dunlop 471R3C Max Grip Jazz III
  • Dunlop makes one of the finest guitar picks in the Jazz III series
  • A Jazz III- sized pick (smaller than a common-sized guitar pick) that works better for me because the grip nubs make it easier to keep it in the proper angle/position
  • These things add up to a more confident guitar player and thus a better player
  • Before I did not like hard guitar picks but these won me over; the grip is amazing and the sound is clear

Reviews around play (4.03 of 5)

  • All those things are important while playing guitar, so these picks can improve your skill if it’s lacking.
  • This pick will make you more precise, and improve your playing regardless of your skill level.
  • For years i was looking for the perfect pick to fit my aggressive and passionate playing style
  • Faster for intense playing, I'd say go for the Dunlop but for strumming and
  • I love the max grip dimpling on pick surface that has really improved my blues playing.

Reviews around size (3.72 of 5)

  • I love the size and feel of the Jazz III and this is even better
  • A friend thought the size would be an issue (no jokes, we're all adults here), but also found it only seemed to help with playing and control
  • The more average sized ones are basically unusable for me
  • My main complaint is the very small size,I haven't got enough room to vary my finger position and get different tones out of the pick
  • I am a first-time user of both these picks and picks this size, and really like them.

Reviews around tone (3.72 of 5)

  • You have a bit of a heavy pick hand at times, and while you like the tone and feel you get from that, you still want note definition and clarity
  • Not all bass players want a Flea and the slap-happy tone
  • The material the pick is made of causes a warm darker tone when playing.
  • I find the Dava master control more to my liking for most things, but I still use the jazz III's from time to time when I just want a simple clean pick tone.
  • As someone else points out, you'd imagine that they would just wreck your tone when it comes to playing clean chords, but a slight adjustment of your technique can fix this

Reviews around sound (3.55 of 5)

  • as though it's plucking the strings, rather than sliding off and this, gives you a better sense of where the strings are*Pick gives off a brighter and definitively louder sound*Great for both chord playing and riffsSo now, here are some unbiased features of this
  • but if I were pressed to form an opionion on that, I might say these were a tiny bit brighter sounding.
  • then I was expecting did not want them to big o well ship
  • and I find that the grip section seems to make a weird sound when it runs over the strings.
  • Really disliked the sound these picks gave with my guitar.

Reviews around hand (1.69 of 5)

  • My personal issues, I have large hands that tend to sweat easily
  • My hands get sweaty if I play a lot, and I can never hold onto them
  • I have numb right hand fingers from a back injury and these picks stay where I want them, between my finger and thumb and not on the floor or someone's lap
  • I have numb right hand fingers from a back injury and these picks stay where I want them, between my finger and thumb and not on the floor or someone's lap
  • The only issue I had with the original is that they could become rather slippery if my hands became sweaty
