If the syncing and smart watch features were a bit more
One last comment - being able to track the mileage put on your footwear is critical and an awesome feature
Tonight while uninstalling the garmin connect app and re-installing it and then connecting the Vivoactive HR to my PC to attempt to get this feature to work the watch went completely unresponsive
I really enjoy the other features this watch has to offer
Garmin has decided to restrict the VO2 max and recovery estimation features to its (much more expensive line of) running watches
I can accept that, but I believe this tracker to frequently be >20% inaccurate
Although I find the data interesting, since I'm only doing 2K per day in the pool and don't compete any longer its not really supporting the older swimmer interested in staying vertical for a bit longer
Love the combination of smartwatch with a good fitness tracker
We have three other, less expensive Garmin trackers that are over 3 years old and still are going strong
This is a much better fitness tracker than my previous Fitbit.
Ugly app interface on mobile as well as on the watch itselfInaccurate move data collectionCompletely dead and unusable after 1 year and 2 months period
Exercise day/time are recorded incorrectly every day (one day in advance).I am returning the watch because of the buggy mobile app and inaccuracy of the floor counter, as well as poor customer service.
Seems rather that the watch and app issues are consequences of issues within their organisation
The app isn’t too bad but it could definitely use interface improvements
The app complains about lacking permissions it does not need
I would only suggest you consider that the watch might not work as long as you think.
The app and interface were not as clean as I was accustomed to from another company

However, the band broke after a year and a half, and at the two-year mark both the vibration and touch-screen have quit working.
I love this watch, however, today the piece that holds down the excess watch band broke and fell off
So far, It even stays put underwater. https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01I0SH8FS/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1UPDATE: I bought an Assurant protection plan when I got the device: Assurant 3-Year GPS Protection Plan ($175-$199.99)
Watch lasted just about year and a half before breaking where the watch band is held in place

Bought this watch just over a year and the touch screen sometimes not working, battery life shrinks from 7 days to 3days for normal non GPS activity
I absolutely loved this watch, but less than two years and it just stopped working
On occasion the VAHR will eventually reconnect with the phone, but far more often than not that disturbed connection becomes semi-permanent.
Constantly losing the Bluetooth connection with my iPhone 6 plus
It detects my bike speed using GPS well enough as far as I know.3
The connection to my iPhone works well, and I wasn't expecting the watch to have the functionality that it does for relaying information from the phone.
BUT - its always loosing the Bluetooth connection with my phone even when its right next to it.
Out of the blue the watch resets the date and time dumping all activity and history

It couldn't hold a charge for more than 2 days of no GPS use, would come out of a charge cycle and show the wrong time and date, and basically just turned into an expensive paperweight
It is March 19th and the watch no longer keeps the correct date or time.
I would like to say no -- or even return the thing -- but half my daily exercise routine is strength training and the only way I can lose weight is to accurately count calories burned and calories consumed, so...
To lose weight: Track calories, eat enough to satisfy you, eat when hungry, workout and use a Polar (though mine tend to die every
Overall, I've lost weight and feel healthier because of the weekly activity goal that I can customize
It detects my bike speed using GPS well enough as far as I know.3
I use this watch as a weight loss/management tool, and it is great to track your steps, resting heart rate, etc
I had 2 defective Vivoactive 3’s and finally got one that
It was only after owning another unit that I discovered that some issues I was having were user error and not the watch but not all
Heart rate monitor (a bit sporadic, but great for general reference)- Colored touch screen (not as sharp and pretty as the iWatch of Gear S, but does not drain the battery)- Size - A little large, but houses lots of functions
I'm not quite sure whether it's user error, but it is frustrating not to be able to simply click the button and press save
My biggest gripe next to the weather thing is the extensive menus, both on the app and on the device
that's for sure with the giant pixelated letters and numbers, low pixel density, and slow menus
The software is clunky and accessing menus is worse than a Nokia phone from a decade ago
The user must dig through poorly designed sub menus to access common features
