The watch itself is great and so good looking, had a lot of compliments and people asking about it
The case and band are nice looking and look much like a regular watch - very subtle and not trendy
It's a very sleek looking watch, but Android Wear is what brings it down
, now I'm really seeing no upside of this watch, the looks are not that great anymore (had to let go of the metal wrist bands and use the regular dull looking black leather band) connectivity is not the greatest, and finally it doesn't even last long enough to just tell the time
It's a very conservative looking case and band, there's practically no "style" to it, no carvings, etchings, etc
I got the stainless steel version with stainless steel link band when on sale here for $
ago.- I'm happy with the stainless steel version as opposed to the PVD black.
Originally I bought the stainless steel with black leather band version from Best Buy and, while I liked it, I didn't love it because the stainless steel got scratched very quickly.
Huawei Watch Black Stainless Steel with Black Stainless Steel Link
Watch is always disconnected from the phone.- Not easily pairing with Huawei phones.- Cannot be paired again with a phone unless you reset the whole watch.- Scratch-able steel
DO NOT compare it to the Samsung smartwatches because they use a different OS (Tizen). Here are some of the best features about the watch (in no particular order)1.
I came from a LG G watch R & there is no such issue there at all
I guess you are either stuck with fibit blaze for basic notifications or mini iPhone( in name of watch) as ugly as it gets by apple on you wrest.
But the real issue is that despite Android Wear claiming compatibility with iOS, it is so limited as to really make that claim an exaggeration.
The watch has received updates through Android wear 2.0, and to my knowledge is not lacking any significant features of newer watches
Nice watch design, but had an issue adjusting the band because the pins are set really tightly in the links
Even though this has been out for a while I decided to purchase this one since I like its design better than later Huawei Watch models or other newer Android Wear models
Awesome watch design is nice watch is easy to use call quality great battery great
The best smartwatch on the market, no complaints, easy to use and well thought out design; with build quality to match!
After about 6 months of use, this watch had a peculiar design flaw - it almost caught fire while charging (Picture shows the ballooning battery & singed charger base)
The only complaint I could have is that the display is quite dimmed
The display is excellent and the battery life is very good.
This watch looks great and works great, the display is beautiful
Not a lot is enabled in the watch, watch is basically in the default mode, set to always on, which changes to a dimmer display after a few seconds.
That crown button does have some handy functions though: press once to return to the watch face from within an app or to toggle the Ambient Mode display from the watch face, twice for Theater Mode (which turns off the display entirely and ignores notifications), or three times for the Brightness Boost described previously
Great product especially after upgrading to Marshmallow
In any case, the watch is a great product when working and I have raised my review to 3 stars.
Awesome product but the face still looks superficial on the digital display of the watch face
I've been seriously impressed by the Huawei Smart Watch, particularly because I knew them from years ago as the cheap-o Chinese manufacturer making poor tablets and smart phones.
Excellent Product, Excellent Price, Shipped very quickly
Though it lacks an internal GPS and a functional HR monitor (it comes with an optical reader that only works if you hold your wrist very very still), it's very visually appealing and is 100% useful when you have your phone nearby
My previous LG watch, the G Watch R would crash when running this app
crystal)-- no ambient light sensor-- no GPS-- HORRIBLE HORRIBLE (H O R R I B L E
BETTER than my Moto 360 1st gen, BETTER than mu LG G Watch Urbane, BETTER than my wife's Apple Watch
The only thing of value I have received from this is a teachable moment -- which as a college professor of communication I will use: This will make an excellent case study in poor internal communication as well as how to lose customer support and brand loyalty
I guess you are either stuck with fibit blaze for basic notifications or mini iPhone( in name of watch) as ugly as it gets by apple on you wrest.
My wrist get t was burned as it left that area numb for a day after I left the watch off
But the real issue is that despite Android Wear claiming compatibility with iOS, it is so limited as to really make that claim an exaggeration.
Love the watch, I have had it for around 5 months and it still works as it was the first day, very hard to scratch, when i hit the wall accidentally with the watch the wall chipped and nothing happened to the watch
I've been seriously impressed by the Huawei Smart Watch, particularly because I knew them from years ago as the cheap-o Chinese manufacturer making poor tablets and smart phones.
if the watch works out of the box, great - I however would NEVER buy anything from Huawei again nor will i advise anyone to

I've owned 3 other brands of smart watch and the Huawei is my hands-down favorite

I've sat on the couch with the HRM running in an app, it goes along fine, shake my hand and it freezes

With WiFi on this phone would literally drain battery right before my eyes
I agree with a previous reviewer that turning off wifi is a big help, so far after disabling wifi I am again on track for 20-30 hours of continuous moderate-use wear
the battery barely lasts half a day, I keep turning off the wifi (possibly the main power drain, but the watch has another opinion, keeps turning wifi on
if the watch works out of the box, great - I however would NEVER buy anything from Huawei again nor will i advise anyone to
But wouldn't you assume this thing would have a Dick Tracy mode?
Also, it is pretty cool to use the watch as a Dick Tracy
Love the watch, I have had it for around 5 months and it still works as it was the first day, very hard to scratch, when i hit the wall accidentally with the watch the wall chipped and nothing happened to the watch
Sure it uses blue tooth to connect to your phone, but hey, you can finally pretend you're Dick Tracy

You really have to have a perfect connection with the pins to the watch, so before you leave watch make sure you get the charging screen
The biggest issue is that this watch was constantly losing its bluetooth connection.
if the watch works out of the box, great - I however would NEVER buy anything from Huawei again nor will i advise anyone to
When it lost its connection, it lost it completely; I'd have to go through the pairing process on the watch and phone.
I've been seriously impressed by the Huawei Smart Watch, particularly because I knew them from years ago as the cheap-o Chinese manufacturer making poor tablets and smart phones.
Some informal testing suggests a minimum of 70dB in order for the hotword to take even in a quiet (~40dB) room, while a much quieter voice is sufficient for whatever command follows “Ok Google”
Since its an amoled screen, the black disappear in dark rooms and the hands/numbers only show up.
I don't know if my watch is defective but, if I'm doing anything other than sitting in a quiet room, I can't feel my watch vibrate when a notification comes in
I've been seriously impressed by the Huawei Smart Watch, particularly because I knew them from years ago as the cheap-o Chinese manufacturer making poor tablets and smart phones.
And don't get me started on their terrible customer service
Decent watch, weak vibrations for alarm, horrible customer service
I was about to order this watch when I decided to read the many horror stories about how awful customer service is
Huawei USA did not contact me about this, I found this out after yet several more calls to customer service -- where the information was slowly teased out.
Previous to dealing with Huawei, the worst customer service I'd dealt with was
After re-sizing the pins for the watch band are falling out
if the watch works out of the box, great - I however would NEVER buy anything from Huawei again nor will i advise anyone to
Had a problem with the original wristband that looses a pin making the watch get loose
Would advice buyers to frequently check for loose pins or band issues.
