Is there any new major smart watch that is compelling enough to buy and use instead of Pebble? and 2) If I lost my Pebble would I buy another Pebble or perhaps something more "current"?Answer to 1
a thriving apps store that adds much to the watch, a great amount of built-in functionality, a long-lasting battery life, and an amazingly cool e-paper display that works really well in sunlight
but I find myself missing my Pebble quite often and have even tossed around the idea of getting the Pebble Steel

Best features are its battery life and the watch faces available are great

I like having my phone on mute, but sometimes I don't hear/feel the vibrate feature
The notification vibrate on your wrist, nice feature so you can keep your phone volume low or off and still know when you get a call, text, or notification
I purchased this because I wanted to take tentative steps into the world of Smartwatches, but didn't want a lot of unnecessary features or a big price tag.
sweet! very practical no-nonsense piece works with both my android and iPhone, once set up properly which is very easy I get instant notification I find only one thing that could be better and that is the incoming call notification that sometimes doesn't ring trough but will shows up on the screen as a missed call otherwise I couldn't ask for a better
I never wake up when any watch makes an audible alarm but the vibrate alarm works every time! The apps I tried of far work great
Now that I have Poweramp configured, it is working well to control music on my Android phone.
The watch has worked pretty well for most of the time and i highly recommend it to all my friends until recently
I loved the watch initially, but after less than a year the vibration function no longer works and the battery does not even last a day
It's comfortable and has the most important features: correct time and notifications of mail and phone calls on my wrist
It has been invaluable for vibrate notifications when I'm busy with my hands doing other things, so I don't have to dig into my coat pocket, jeans or purse for my phone just to see if it's an important call, email, text or calendar reminder
and then some (getting text/email/social media notifications is really nice).**UPDATE**April
NOW I get vibrating notification whenever there's an email, IM or even Facebook.
Many, many other notifications are real nice to have on your wrist
The screen had no scratches when I received it, BUT be careful, the entire front is like a phone screen so it can be prone to scratches (this is no G-Shock ladies and gentlemen)

I've spent $100 for A G Shock watch that doesn't have near as many features as my Pebble does

Easy readable e-ink screen under sunlight, long battery life (with the high amount of notification I get, battery runs 3 days - fair enough), light weight, water resistance, good size on small Asian lady hand
Only downside is it will occasionally lose connection with my phone overnight (maybe once a week) and require reconnection, which only takes a minute

This watch is great, no connection issues and has lots of features
Good battery life, eInk visible in sunlight, easy connection to my iPod Touch 5.0
It’s excellent watch it works fine no issue and the battery last for days
The only big issue I've really had is that it slows my phone down having to be connected via Bluetooth all the time, but honestly I'd expect that with any watch.
The reason I'm giving it only 4 stars is the scrambling /Tearing screen issues that are well known for those who using the original Pebble.
We will say that's a Misfit issue and not a Pebble issue though

On the plus side, the display was easy to read and having the backlight come on with a flick of the wrist was super-handy.
This one only lasted about 4 months until the display went to static again.
They sent me a new watch when I inquired about a scrambled display.
Display is very easy to read, inside or outside in the sun

Now, even when it’s working (which never lasts more than a few minutes), the image is corrupted and missing pixels
However, my watch eventually did begin to show some dead pixels, and began to get worse and worse

All three had scrambled pixels on the screen, leaving them unreadable
Scrambled (unreadable) screen sometimes, especially at first.

Seller has no return policy and my watch has a defective screen
The screen and watch are both durable, more so than some reviews suggest
Additionally, when the Pebble was offered on Kickstarter, the manufacturers bragged that it would have a great e-paper screen, using the technology seen on Amazon’s Kindle and other e-readers
Two stars reflect my support for the concept, but I would hope these new tech-ish companies would actually pay more attention to actual tech quality and not just the promise of how good thew tech COULD be if it worked the way it was supposed to.
My only real complaint (which is knocking off 1 star) is how it charges
For a Pebble, great Price and a Smartwatch.....well that = 5-Star to Me
It take them 2 to 3 weeks to answere your email every time you sent and respond.. do not even deserve 1 star my never worked and no one could give me answere on where to sent it for repair
But...I only give it 3 stars because it scratches very easily
The second now has watermarks along the sides of the screen if my wrist is sweaty at all
Simple navigation, easily viewable in light/sunlight and the ambient light sensor knows when to turn the backlight on, as to not waste battery when you shake your wrist any given time of the day
buttons get pressed when i lean my wrist back too far but thats a given.
Visibility very good both day and night (shake your wrist in low light levels to activate the backlight... genius!)
It eventually fixes itself if i hit buttons or shake my wrist
