Reviews around graphic (5.00 of 5)

  • The graphics and story are great so far, but I can see the potential in this game, Rockstar didn't fully realize it.
  • The graphics are great and the character animations are wonderful
  • Beautiful graphics is the only pro to this dog of a game
  • Arthur is by far my favorite R* character and maybe my favorite of all time
  • Yes the graphics are pretty, the detail extends into breaking down every action into small slices

Reviews around score (5.00 of 5)

  • Count me as one of the suckers who believed all of the hype and the near perfect scores from the gaming sites.
  • Arthur is by far my favorite R* character and maybe my favorite of all time
  • Anyways, i just feel like rdr2 is not nearly worth the perfect scores out there

Reviews around detail (5.00 of 5)

  • Sure the game is extremely beautiful and is full of intricate details that fascinate you ok how much attention the developers put in, but the story and gameplay is simply not there
  • The details put into it is why I love this game
  • The detail is amazing!

Reviews around rockstar (5.00 of 5)

  • Rockstar forces you to perform tedious chores like chopping wood, cleaning your horse, and the worst of all, maintaining your cores

Reviews around character (5.00 of 5)

  • you get a game that has stunning graphics, an cohesive in-depth story, memorable characters, slick combat, and an open world full of content you actually care to explore

Reviews around rootin (5.00 of 5)

  • Happy rootin' tootin' shootin'!
  • Arthur is by far my favorite R* character and maybe my favorite of all time
  • Walk-around with a shotgun is very much like a Gallagher performance, and satisfying when someone punches your horse and you turn them into dust coated paste.10/10 would recommend if you enjoy some good ol' rootin' tootin' cowboy shootin'.

Reviews around gun play (5.00 of 5)

  • The gun play is decent and the constant swapping of weapons on your horse is annoying, but realistic
  • but I guess that just means it is a really good game y'all
  • The gun play is pretty fun but very slow firing guns when the enemy's seem to never reload and shoot way faster then you can

Reviews around world (4.33 of 5)

  • It is an unfortunate sign if the times, quick and easy gratification in this too fast world we now live in
  • you get a game that has stunning graphics, an cohesive in-depth story, memorable characters, slick combat, and an open world full of content you actually care to explore
  • Zelda Breath of the Wild was so amazing right out of the gates, that maybe I'm tainted because the hand holding in the Red Dead 2 open world that takes hours and hours, is an honest snooze fest
  • I would say the open world is fun to explore, because it can be, but the constant horse riding and following people on a horse makes traveling extremely boring at time
  • I can’t put it down the story is awesome , the world is awesome

Reviews around travel (3.61 of 5)

  • They also took away essential features, such as fast travel
  • Travel - there is limited fast travel in the form of trains and carriages in main towns, you cant just press pause or tab and pick a spot you have been to on the map
  • Travel - there is limited fast travel in the form of trains and carriages in main towns, you cant just press pause or tab and pick a spot you have been to on the map
  • Travel is my biggest complaint in the game.
  • I found the main story somewhat interesting, but it's broken up by boring chores like cooking, shaving, hunting, or you have very long stretches of riding your horse (tapping X button) over this massive map with no real fast travel options when youre outside of your main camp.

Reviews around pace (3.22 of 5)

  • I can tell most of the negative reviews are from kids (and some impatient adults)who expected a fast pace wild west game
  • I myself am a fan of fast paced games but didn't have a problem with this as job are usually located close to the quest start
  • I prefer the slower pace and enjoying being an outlaw/cowboy
  • But, If you enjoy leisure pace, beautiful scenery, almost limitless environment interaction and a ton of things to do, this is a 5 star game you will certainly enjoy.
  • Just put us at our destination so we can continue with the game at a faster pace.

Reviews around horse (2.11 of 5)

  • Death is waiting I had no sooner got my favorite horse to a high level of bonding when unexpectedly attacked my horse died and before i could revive him i died as well.

  • So if you don't want to have serious setbacks or lose that favorite horse manual save often.

Reviews around bear attack (1.95 of 5)

  • Arthur is by far my favorite R* character and maybe my favorite of all time
  • I have seen legit bear attacks and I was not having that
  • Bear attacks actually scared the hell out of me

Reviews around chore (1.95 of 5)

  • Rockstar forces you to perform tedious chores like chopping wood, cleaning your horse, and the worst of all, maintaining your cores
  • Going through the overly complex and convoluted menus has to be the worst part, and you have to struggle with it constantly because the game frequently unequips your weapons loadout, and requires you to perform tons of menial chores and tasks to maintain your health, clothes, weapons, horse, status, etc
  • Just ignore all the chores they make you do and just enjoy the hunting.
  • Arthur is by far my favorite R* character and maybe my favorite of all time
  • Maybe if you're someone who enjoys spending lots of time doing menial chores at a snail's pace this will be a 10/10.

  • I can tell most of the negative reviews are from kids (and some impatient adults)who expected a fast pace wild west game
  • I don't really understand the negative reviews for this game.
  • If it were not for the depressing story and broken wanted system, I wouldn't even hesitate to give the game a perfect review

Reviews around redemption (1.69 of 5)

  • Red Dead Redemption was and is still among my favorite games, if not at the top of my list
  • I preordered this game from my local store and was really excited Red Dead Redemption 2 (RDR2) finally got released
  • Red Dead Redemption 1 was one of the best sandbox games of all time but it wasn't perfect
  • Well, in making Red Dead Redemption 2, rock star beefed up all those little things you disliked about RDR1 to a game breaking extreme

Reviews around control (1.49 of 5)

  • The first thing you'll notice is the confusing and frustrating controls
  • Insanely bad controls and poor directions on how they work
  • I have never played a game with less intuitive controls
  • Arthur is by far my favorite R* character and maybe my favorite of all time
  • As far as the controls, you can accidentally punch someone while trying to mount your horse and get a warrant
