Sure the game is extremely beautiful and is full of intricate details that fascinate you ok how much attention the developers put in, but the story and gameplay is simply not there

Walk-around with a shotgun is very much like a Gallagher performance, and satisfying when someone punches your horse and you turn them into dust coated paste.10/10 would recommend if you enjoy some good ol' rootin' tootin' cowboy shootin'.

Zelda Breath of the Wild was so amazing right out of the gates, that maybe I'm tainted because the hand holding in the Red Dead 2 open world that takes hours and hours, is an honest snooze fest
I would say the open world is fun to explore, because it can be, but the constant horse riding and following people on a horse makes traveling extremely boring at time

They also took away essential features, such as fast travel
Travel - there is limited fast travel in the form of trains and carriages in main towns, you cant just press pause or tab and pick a spot you have been to on the map

Travel is my biggest complaint in the game.
I found the main story somewhat interesting, but it's broken up by boring chores like cooking, shaving, hunting, or you have very long stretches of riding your horse (tapping X button) over this massive map with no real fast travel options when youre outside of your main camp.
I can tell most of the negative reviews are from kids (and some impatient adults)who expected a fast pace wild west game
I myself am a fan of fast paced games but didn't have a problem with this as job are usually located close to the quest start
I prefer the slower pace and enjoying being an outlaw/cowboy
But, If you enjoy leisure pace, beautiful scenery, almost limitless environment interaction and a ton of things to do, this is a 5 star game you will certainly enjoy.
Just put us at our destination so we can continue with the game at a faster pace.

Rockstar forces you to perform tedious chores like chopping wood, cleaning your horse, and the worst of all, maintaining your cores
Going through the overly complex and convoluted menus has to be the worst part, and you have to struggle with it constantly because the game frequently unequips your weapons loadout, and requires you to perform tons of menial chores and tasks to maintain your health, clothes, weapons, horse, status, etc
Just ignore all the chores they make you do and just enjoy the hunting.
