Other than that, if you want the premium experience from Samsung but not pay the big bucks for the Q Series, I highly recommend the 8 Series for your home theater setup.
An all around solid performer in this segment, the Samsung 8 series gets plenty bright to make HDR colors pop
The Samsung SMART remote and voice assistance made set up a breeze for our Samsung 55NU8000 Flat 55” 4K UHD 8 Series Smart TV
I purchased this 2018 Samsung 55-inch “8 Series” to replace an aging 40” LED (another brand) for my bedroom
You are reading snippets from reviews of Samsung 65NU8000 Flat 65” 4K UHD 8 Series Smart TV 2018
My only focus when choosing this set was getting the largest screen size with the best 4K HDR possible for a reasonable amount of money
The slim bezel coupled with the clean cable solution gives a sleek and clean look that allows us to focus on the fantastic quality of the picture and not the eyesore that exposed wires typically have from other TVs
Great 4K picture with the Xbox one X. Great upscaling for 720p and 1080p
Picture quality - just beautiful, the local dimming is solid, you get deeper blacks and the contrast stands out Refresh Rate/Motion - very good, I see no blur or delay at all Design - very thin bezel, even looks good on the wall not on, cord hiding in the back for cleaner look
Based on my experience thus far, this is unquestionably the best looking & performing TV I’ve ever owned.
We love the color and clarity-and it is amazing what 5 extra inches from our previous TV would feel so much bigger
And these settings do no good in HDR+ because it just tunes the colors all wrong (maybe the panel isn't tune for the US set?)
The picture is brilliant, with extremely vivid colors and deep blacks that make for an enhanced experience
Watched World Cup Soccer right out of the box-and the colors were simply outstanding (our cable TV supplier is not known to provide a superior picture either)
It is far better than the TCL I originally bought because the colors are much brighter and the contrast better
Overall it has a good picture and sound is great without the box thing.
Loud doesn't = a quality sound system.
The sound is respectable, it just wont blow you away like the rest of the TV
The sound wasn't aweful, but I added a sound bar, which made it markedly better.
The build and design of the TV itself is pretty good, however, I have read a review from someone on Amazon where they mention that this TV makes an Odd clicking sound after being turned on, and it seems to disappear when the TV cools down.
a Zenith or two , they all had one thing in common - they aren't as good as Samsung -
I like how getting to apps are seamless and even things turn "semi-smart" thanks to the TV
The only negative thing was that the TV came with the 2 foot mount instead of the T mount shown in the picture which caused a difficult situation because the TV stand I have has a spindle railing along the top and can accommodate up to 46 " and the footprint of the 2 foot mount is 48"
I have DirecTV and use the RVU app which acts as a set top box client on this TV instead of getting another box, but limited remote buttons for this TV makes it a challenge to do simple things like no previous channel button or you have to go thru steps just to manually enter a channel number
It has gotten compliments from those who came to watch games for how good things look
I think you loose image quality when not viewing square to the screen.sometimes the i age is acceptable but there is something just not wowing my eyeballs
5 different samsung tvs all have have been great quality
Before this we had a 7.1 surround sound system that was loud, and had earth shaking bass... but the music lacked the quality we wanted.
The real downside is that the sound quality is poor, and did not know this when I bought it.
Samsung's UN65NU8000 provides a great picture quality yet again at a great price.
Does anyone remember when TV used to be a stress free, relaxing experience?- Privacy: When you first start up the TV, you are first asked to download an app on your phone, which you DO NOT NEED, because I guess using a 3 inch screen is somehow easier than using a 55 inch one.
It's a strange customer service experience
I watch a lot of sports and with the 240 motion rate that this TV has, it is the most incredible experience that I have ever viewed on a TV
So I emailed them.3th time: the most strange customer service experience
Samsung smack the seller, I usually have great experience with most Samsung products.
I have received the replacement and absolutely love the TV, it has a great picture and amazing low input lag, which was super important to me as I use this TV as a 4k monitor
If you turn on “Game Mode” the input lag is as low as some gaming monitors
Great tv, especially good for gaming, the auto game mode is finicky but if you put it to game mode manually it works well, input lag and motion blurr is very low, putting game motion plus on makes it even smoother but makes input lag go up a bit
