Great sound - a bit difficult to get it to pair with my soundbase.
It does lack a bit in deep bass but makes up for it with outstanding performance in the rest of the frequency range
Great sound - a bit difficult to get it to pair with my soundbase.
Works with Alexa Needs a bit more deep bass at higher volumes but sounds very clear.
It's a bit too proprietary a system vs. the rest of the crowd and now that Apple has jumped in the game I think I'll wait and see before investing completely.
It doens’t support AirPlay and there are no plans to add support for it.
Sonos may issue a software update that bricks your system (speakers then make nice paperweights).
Finally, I was able to connect it to the Show, played a song, and then it immediately disconnected, the Show even announced it was disconnecting, and went back to playing Like a Rolling Stone, This happen repeatedly over and over, rending the Play:1 useless--except for being a very expensive paperweight!
n’t see that it’s improved in any way (and it’s very buggy)
And the Expensive Paperweight Award goes to....drum roll
It’s a Sonos, sounds great, looks nice and has amazing software
The idea of this system is nice, and it's nice that the speakers act somewhat independently of a computer, but when you're trying to stream from the Sonos servers, the poor software engineering gets in the way.
Great speaker but needs to update software to work 100% with
These little Play 1’s pack a punch with high quality sound and simple setup.
The software is intuitive and the speaker sounds great.
With all the negative reviews, the company must know about the issues and would hopefully address them
There are far better speakers available which comapnies accept criticism and negative reviews not like this which just don’t let you publish negative reviews
Very disappointed...so many good reviews, yet such disappointing sound.
But I was expecting more from all these glowing reviews about its incredible sound
I've read some of the negative reviews, pretty much complaining about the lack of perfection technologically
Although Sonos advertising their product works with Alexsa, Alexsa does not want to work with Sonos as of today December 2017
I have invested in a LOT into my sonos system and the recent updates and the problems that have come after the updates are unacceptable.
If you are sitting at your computer fooling around online and your favorite song just doesn't sound quite as crisp as you would like it to, or if you have a $200 budget to fill 1 room in your house with sound, keep looking, your speaker is out there somewhere ;-)I hope this helps, Cheers!
Then came the relentless App updates, tinkering with the UI.
We really like the Sonos system and the sound is very good but the app isn't very good and the constant updates are annoying.
If you can install hard wiring for a home stereo system, then I recommend you do so rather than chooosing Sonos.
Great sound that is similar to my classic Bose wired floor speakers
Old classic rock, R&B, Jazz and Gospel, sound as if you were at a live performance
They are a tad expensive, but consider the other way of installing whole home sound.. and hard wiring speakers in the ceiling and adding a amp and receiver etc.
Don’t bother unless you are only hard wiring one system into Ethernet and you are in a radio silence zone with no other 2.4gHz nearby
It is simple to connect any of my i-devices and play music of them, or I can connect to the hard drive attached to my router and play the music there.
this product is very so proprietary doesn't work with any of your own song you may have on hard drive
It's not too bad, but I specifically put them on OneDrive to be able to play them on any device without having to download them and take up computer hard drive space
Old classic rock, R&B, Jazz and Gospel, sound as if you were at a live performance
