Reviews around product (5.00 of 5)

  • Compared to many other cameras - a great product at a very attractive price.
  • Small. compact, versatile, fun, sleek, good battery life for the asking price (about 12 hoursish straight through), fantastic SDHC card support, good wifi and overall a solid product.
  • Love the quality, size, and generally everything about this little camera! great product, also using it to start a vlog with!
  • Highly recommend this product, as Sony's stabilization features help anyone who doesn't know much about cameras to take good pictures.

Reviews around zoom (5.00 of 5)

  • The zoom returns clarity that I would not expect but greatly appreciate.
  • I was looking for truly ultra-compact with powerful zoom camera
  • If all you want to do is, literally, point your camera and take a picture, then this is a fine little device that takes decent quality photos and offers a nice zoom
  • For example the zoom is of course great and much better, the night pictures are better, but the day ones are probably not always better
  • I recommend to buy another model with better zoom quality

Reviews around point (5.00 of 5)

  • This is a great update to Sony's entry level cmos compact point and shoot, and paired with a mobile device will give you better pictures than an Iphone 6 Camera (which has a smaller sensor size).I bought the wx80 when it came out in 2012 and was very happy with it: great looking auto mode shots and great black and whites, easy wifi direct transfer to mobile devices, super compact form factor
  • Even with it's quirks, this is a fine point and shoot camera
  • I tend to be on the move a lot and this is a great point and shot camera
  • The menu is time consuming to learn and navigate, but that is true of most modern point and shoots
  • It's a good point and shoot that takes excellent pictures and it is reasonably priced

Reviews around video (4.56 of 5)

  • It fits anywhere, takes great pictures and videos, and performs well under many conditions.
  • Good photos bad videos
  • Love it..its really small great quality video and picture.
  • the video is crisp and im actually looking forward to doing some light Photoshop with these images (for purely artistic reasons no modifications to improve quality)
  • Took it on a trip to Mexico and got a lot of great shots and really good video

Reviews around feature (4.41 of 5)

  • The WiFi connection to a smartphone is a nice feature when taking those photos that you also want to be in
  • This itty-bitty camera is chock full of cool features and top notch quality
  • All the features do not work properly with my iPhone
  • http://docs.esupport.sony.com/dvimag/2014/DSCWX220_guide/en/index.htmlWhen a camera has a ton of wonderful features you'd think the manufacturer would want you to be able to find them and supply you with a written manual
  • I love the wireless/NFC transfer feature and the ability to control the camera with my smartphone

Reviews around size (4.30 of 5)

  • Again, the size of this camera is the only real problem
  • The size and quality of this camera is excellent though
  • The only negative so far is that the small size makes it easy to put your fingers on the lens.
  • While the very small size makes it a little difficult for people with big fingers to push the right button, the size is perfect for slipping into a pocket or purse . .
  • The only good thing is the ultra-compact size for x10 zoom camera.

Reviews around light (4.30 of 5)

  • The low light is incredible and it takes clear sharp pictures in almost no light believe it or not
  • In the right light this camera is capable of capturing pretty detail shots
  • 2nd: llight sensor allows pretty good low light capture but not so good for half-light environments.
  • 2nd: llight sensor allows pretty good low light capture but not so good for half-light environments.
  • In my experience with all the previous budget point-and-shoots owned by our family, they all usually do a relatively decent job in bright light outside, but most fail miserably on indoor shots in dimly lit rooms, delivering unacceptably noisy, grainy and blurry images

Reviews around auto (4.16 of 5)

  • The next big flaw is the slow and inaccurate auto focus.
  • I honestly can't imagine a design meeting where someone said "we're going to have program auto where they can adjust a few options, but then we'll have intelligent auto and superior auto, two modes that are so close and ambiguous in naming convention that the user will never know which one is the best choice at any particular time."4
  • For example, there is superior auto, intelligent auto, and program auto for mode selection
  • Not sure which auto is the best auto, they almost automatically do the automatic same thing automatically

Reviews around quality (4.10 of 5)

  • The slower you pan the higher the quality, but 170-180 degrees remains fixed
  • I've owned Nikon, Olympus, and Kodak digital point-and-shoots over the years, and none of them took as poor-quality photos as the WX220
  • Love it better than any smartphone also the video and sound quality is great depending on your needs of
  • Love it..its really small great quality video and picture.
  • Nice lightweight pocket camera, the quality of the photos are fantastic!!!!

Reviews around shot (3.61 of 5)

  • 18.2 MP of blurriness and missed shots is useless.
  • Took it on a trip to Mexico and got a lot of great shots and really good video
  • It's better to take slightly darker shots which can be "enhanced" with Windows picture software.

Reviews around shadow problem (1.00 of 5)

  • Several months in I finally called Sony because this shadowing problem had become very bad & it had another issue that occurred a couple of times -& camera was still under warranty
  • I use it more often without the flash than with, but this shadowing problem gradually began to worsen in size & density (sometimes it wasn't as bad & sometimes it was quite bad & sometimes the shadowing also appeared in the upper left corner)
  • This camera shop had it for one day supposedly repaired & cleaned it & returned it to me -& it was NOT fixed / still had the shadow problem
