The delivery was great and the TV practically set it self up.

Time to find out how good Sony's after sale service is.

Hookup a good sound system

Out of the blue the screen has failed and I have no picture, but sound and backlight work fine.

Sound is fine -- better than the 7 year old Sony 60" flagship unit (at the time), that this unit replaced

This set, at $3,650 is a bargain IMO, and gives me the best price / performance.

Perfect TV, great price, and amazing picture.

Great picture -- essentially good display unit -- assuming that you a portal such as Apple TV, Roku, etc., as the native interface is not user friendly

Upgrading to 4 stars as the unit has performed well over the past few months with no issues requiring a reboot.

Their best offer a supposedly new unit and an extra 90 days on the pitiful 1 year warranty that comes as standard.

I love the feature where I can swipe what's being watched on my phone jumps to the television.

The colors are amazing, the contrast between blacks and whites has to be seen to be believed

But as it is, the full backlighting with local dimming on the XBR75X940D is nothing short of amazing, and watching 4K OLED demo material on this makes for the most amazing inky black levels I have ever seen on any non-OLED set, while maintaining a contrast ratio that can still deliver more vivid colors and detail in shadows than OLED, which makes this set look far better than OLED in my opinion

I have to use a lap top PC toconnect the TV to Watch My programs and could not get the excellent color and sharpness from the TV which is the whole point I bought this TV

so I have quite a bit of experience with great picture quality with excellent black levels.

But I wanted to go bigger but keep the excellent picture quality with exceptional Black Levels so after months of research I narrowed it down to this Sony

Once calibrated it has perfect grayscale, and near perfect black levels, the best I've ever seen with an LCD TV that isn't OLED

The issue is the high levels of smearing/ghosting
