Reviews around story (5.00 of 5)

  • Which is fine, but at least Skylanders had a decent story behind it and Lego Dimensions
  • I think Starlink is superior in the sense that there is a straightforward story that makes it all feel more important and drives the game forward.
  • I gave it an extra two stars for the great gameplay and story.

Reviews around combat (5.00 of 5)

  • The combat in Starlink is fluent and smooth and will have you enjoying every moment of it
  • I throughly enjoy switching weapons mid combat and watching it change in basically real time
  • There is a lot to explore and the combat is fun.

Reviews around starfox (5.00 of 5)

  • Loving Star Wars and StarFox and all kind of
  • The core game itself is good too!PROS:Starfox (of course) and the Arwing toy
  • But unlike the classic Starfox, Starlink is open world, which is extremely fun in its style of game

Reviews around system (5.00 of 5)

  • It's very fun to just fly around, explore and enjoy the fluent fight system.
  • Just patch out the pay to win system please Ubisoft?

Reviews around control (5.00 of 5)

  • This morning I played without the ships in hand held mode and really began to appreciate the well balanced controls and freedom of an Open World (err
  • The controls are fine, graphics are fine

Reviews around mode (5.00 of 5)

  • Portability - there are NO load screens on the switch in portable mode, if you don't count fast travel
  • I was very disappointed to find out that the game cannot play in portable mode with the controllers attached to the sides of switch body
  • Repetitive Gameplay - Without spoiling the story, the main campaign got to a point where it felt like such a mindless, drawn out grind that I toggled the difficulty to easy mode just to bulldoze through it

Reviews around addition (5.00 of 5)

  • The Star Fox content, which is a great addition to the gameplay, and the ship, which is a better design than the others, only come in the Nintendo Switch version.
  • Really cool concept, Star Fox is a really cool addition, and most importantly, it's pretty fun
  • Having fun with it so far, fun game and LOVE the StarFox additions!

Reviews around attention (5.00 of 5)

  • Solid, great attention to detail and not cheap made
  • Other wise I don't recommend this game
  • and I do have to say that the quality and attention to detail, and the freedom of space exploration was very well executed by Ubisoft, despite the repetitive missions

Reviews around look (5.00 of 5)

  • If you're looking for a fun flight combat game with tons of replay value, then I strongly recommend picking this game up
  • but characters like Shaid and Judge and ships like Hunter's Lance and Mason's Zenith are all cool looking and add a lot of context and visual texture to the game

Reviews around design (5.00 of 5)

  • The Star Fox content, which is a great addition to the gameplay, and the ship, which is a better design than the others, only come in the Nintendo Switch version.
  • Still, there are some slick ship designs and the ability to switch ship parts really adds something unique and tactile to set the game apart.
  • Unfortunately, the Starlink ships are not nearly as well designed or manufactured.

Reviews around idea (4.03 of 5)

  • I think this is a great idea for a future Star Fox only game for the Nintendo Switch
  • Unique idea, fun exploration, and the Switch exclusive content is really good
  • I do like the idea of interacting with the physical toy and bringing it to life in-game
  • If you don’t like the game and don’t support the idea of it, don’t buy it, but let others enjoy this gem without all the unjustified hatred

Reviews around toy (3.86 of 5)

  • I personally think the toys make the game even more awesome
  • toys were compatible with regular legos (and gave us some minifigs you can't get elsewhere like Gizmo and Beetlejuice)
  • Starlink actually allows digital purchases to grant you these optional accessories taking away the clutter of having a plastic toy collecting dust some day
  • One is the fact that it's a toys-to-life game, like Skylanders, etc

Reviews around version (3.44 of 5)

  • The digital versions do all the same things if you despise this concept, although you are then essentially just paying for extra lives
  • The toys are 100% optional and to get the digital versions of the toys are just about 50% cheaper
  • There is unfortunately one clearly superior version of this game.
  • It would actually be cheaper to buy the digital version to unlock that content for the physical version (if that even works), but I wouldn't advocate that because right now the physical version seems to be a blatant rip-off
  • So the game itself is great and the Switch iteration is probably the best version of the game
