The sound is much better and he seem to control the beat much better
I bought it because of the shape of the tips to maintain more of a consistent sound despite slight fluctuations in the angles when doing rolls but the finishing touches weren't as on par as other brands, such as the lacquer finish on one of the tips had a small glob that needed to be scrapped off or else it looked and felt like a deformed tip, plus a few inches below each
I play nylon tips almost exclusively because I like the crisper sound on the cymbals, and they last longer when playing on cymbals, but I bought these wood-tips for practicing on the practice pads.
Very rich sound with the comfortable weight and lenght of the 5A's
Very happy with these, they're very strong and powerful, with a great feel, not at all unwieldy like a 2A or 2B. Just the right size, but nice dense wood, my rimshots and cymbal crashes hardly put a mark in them.
Highly recommended sticks for those who want a good size, solid stick that's not too heavy
around!Versatile, small size makes them nimble, hickory makes them LOUD!Need more velocity
The tips rarely break; and the 7A is my favorite size stick.

These seem to hold up much better than the 5A and can play with for a longer period of time than the 2B. Great feel for the stick and they are made in Texas
I was really enjoying the feel of these sticks until after 10 minutes or less they broke
