Great feel, great look, and fantastic playability as you would expect from a great company like promark
Really great feel, like another buyer said they feel a little heavier than normal 5a's to me
the feel of holding these sticks has been the best out of any stick I have every played with
The feel of the sticks in his hands is light and smooth just as he likes them
Love the feel of these except I had to use some 400 grit sandpaper to roughen up the grip area, as the sticks seemed slipperier than most; not a big deal
Bottom Line: Nice medium weight stick - and if your playing days are behind you they'll make great conversation pieces when you tell stories about 'that bizarre gig we were lucky to escape from...'
I used them on an acoustic snare and my Yamaha electronic kit - they're the perfect weight for jazz and more intricate/rudimental kinds of playing
Use to love Promark Japanese oak, but these have a great weight feel with the added bonus of looking beautiful.
The FireGrain treatment does leave marks initially, so you might break them in on a practice pad first, but these are a great weight and are incredibly durable and balanced.

The feel of these sticks is very natural and I've never had any issues holding on to them, in fact the grip is much better than the traditional varnished sticks and the tackiness does not change as your hands become warmer and sweatier
The grain is amazing, the finish is spectacular and the grip is the best I've held in ANY stick
