This is a good basic cast iron grill pan and I can't see why anyone would pay more for one

If you are thinking of a griddle, but don't want to commit to a more expensive (higher quality) cast iron griddle, this one will work just fine.

This grill pan is solid cast iron, long enough to cover completely the two burners on one side of my electric stove, and does what I want it to do--cook meats, fish and vegetables indoors with less fat
