Light weight, great pockets, cool way to carry your horn!

I especially love the large side pocket to stash oils, greses, pencils, tuner, tools, etc

I love the backpack straps, as I can bike to rehearsal with my horn on my back.

it's flexible, and the straps and closures seem secure enough (I tend to worry quite a bit about those sort of things.)

The bag is a bit heavy but comes with a really nice (comfortable) shoulder strap

Doesn't offer as much protection as my older case because the inside isn't necessarily padded but I am confident in my horns safety.

This case has ample room for different horn wraps and plenty of soft padding

The padding around the rest of the horn seems good enough for protection from bumps during regular transport

Also, because the inside 'padding' isn't very flexible, my horn doesn't fit snuggly inside the case.

It's also a high quality case, with a great storage pocket and a sturdy, protective core.

If you're worried about ample storage space for sheet music, you can put a 3 inch deep full-sized 3-ring binder in there, lunch, a water bottle, and has a pouch for 2 mouthpieces and pencil slots.

It also holds the horn in the correct storage position so the water drains out of the valves.

I bought this as an adult and am pretty careful with my french horn, so I feel like it has enough protection for me.

We have an odd compensating French horn with a large bell and this works perfect!

My son's main complaint about the hard shell case was that it was difficult to carry for long distances (he walks about a mile to school with the horn)

My other son plays trumpet & we will be buying him a Pro Tec case as well.
