The inside padding on the front, back and both lateral sides of the case is quite ample; however, on the inside of the lid there are only two strategically placed support pads, and a sort of thinly padded system of slots on bottom of the case where the horn should rest

There are 2 hard, plastic mouthpiece holders built right in to the well-padded main compartment
