Protec MX306CT Tenor Trombone (F-Trigger or Straight) Case - 2024 report by Whydis
Protec MX306CT Tenor Trombone (F-Trigger or Straight) Case
The Tenor Trombone MAX case offers lightweight protection at an exceptional value. Accommodates 9.5" bell diameter and both F-trigger or Straight tenor horns, and features a lightweight rigid foam frame, backpack straps, and soft interior lining.
One last feature worth mentioning is the integration of backpack-style straps on the side of the case, allowing the user to carry the horn vertically with the bell facing up
The mounting system is complicated and they reduced the pouch size that was a great feature on the older design
It's pretty feature-rich, with build-in (and hideable) backpack straps, and a shoulder strap; two outside compartments, large and small, and two inside compartments large enough for mouthpieces, lube, etc

The handles and shoulder strap work great!I'm using it with my Bach Stad 36B.I bought the smaller Protec Max a couple months ago for my straight King 3B, I like that one equally as well!
The handles are comfortable and I love the extra one on top

The case is composed of a hard shell covered by nylon, with built in backpack straps on the bottom, an outer pocket that can fit a trombone stand, and hooks for a detachable shoulder strap
Very light, backpack straps very useful
The case comes with attached backpack straps, a mouthpiece pouch, and a detachable shoulder strap

If it seems slightly large, it's because of the generous amount of expanded polystyrene foam of which it is constructed, which means good protection for the horn
Has good protection yet easy to tote around

but I think the smaller horns get deprived of a perfect fit
This case seemed to be a great fit for my horn, and it comes with its own straps to carry it
They really like the look and the way their instruments fit
My Conn 88H (closed wrap) fits nicely with room to spare, so open wrap horns shouldn't have a problem fitting inside (you might need to push the tuning slides in, though)

Worth the money, my son's been dragging it to all of his performance and is very durable
