I got the separate backpack straps but didn't like then very much, I prefer to carry it by the handle, which is well padded and comfortable to hold.

Solid case, nice padding inside, and lots of space for reeds and other supplies in two side pockets.
That said, the added heft will probably also translate to a longer lifespan and better protection of the instrument under heavy use... which this case will not really see
but I suppose it's the price to pay for great protection.

We originally bought a lower end case for a nice Yamaha Tenor, in under a year of high school use the case was disintegrating due to poor construction combined with typical adolescent care.

Lightweight, solidly built, protects the tenor well and he doesnt look like a middle schooler toting his sax to school.
