The legs extend wide enough to make me feel like the tripod won't fall over even if bumped but when the center pole is fully extended the 41 lb speaker at the top does sway a bit when bumped

The tripods are well built and can support a heavy load but you will need an adapter to the tube that you can mount under the speaker - amazon sells several of these, just pick one that is sized accordingly

Overall, the tripod is pretty sturdy; all the components are heavy, but the knob and paint seem to be lacking in durability.
