Great fro recording drums , even with Hi-Z.Able to get good recording from them
If you need professional quality, this might not do, but this can do some very good recording and it's super cheap
Gave me a great recording at low volume in my apartment, way better than the used and bargain mics I already had
I don't recommend using it for direct vocals, since the mic needs to be quite close to the audio source to get a good clean recording, so you'll need to try different positions, and different levels on your mixer.

I bought this microphone simply and almost only because of its great price hoping it would not break on me, distort any sounds or cause impairing feedback while on stage
I am also giving a 4 of 5 because they don't have a stable price
great price to add a few extra broad sounds mics to your setup
Cheap price and obviously built quickly with little quality control
the actual SM-57 in this incredible price range!Don't get me wrong here, every microphone is different in some way and the quality of the SM-57 is not comparable to, say, an SM-7B, but as far as a $10 mic can go, the only defining difference between the PDMIC78 and the SM-57 is how much "gain" they capture

For the same price of those horrible cheap plastic microphones, you can have something solid and clearer sounding from pyle
The microphone feels sturdy enough, but once you open it, you realize it is VERY cheaply made
For a full two years the PDMIC78 has been the most reliable microphone in my rig, and I carry an SM-57 now to use the double-mic method
if you need a crappy microphone, and want to spend 50 bucks or less, why not get a decent microphone and spend 10 bucks or less?replacing the wires inside made a great difference in tone

Some say the SM57 has a "dull" sound due to it producing "safe" frequencies as not to cause issues on stage
Run it through some compression, EQ, and maybe some saturation for a great sound.
It probably works better for louder fuller sounds, little lacking in the higher
I have several very good microphones of various types, including a couple excellent Rode microphones for vocals and acoustic guitars, but I actually needed a "cheap-sounding" mic for a special purpose.
The sound is nice and crisp, and it feels solidly built

You can push some of the cheaper mics up a little higher gain-wise before they start screeching, but be careful with this one.
great mics for the price - why pay more when you can buy these?
If you want some cheap backup mics that'll sound great look no further!
In doing so, I replaced all of the wire with thicker and these mics sound great
like Shure makes them, but even a small canvas or microfiber pouch can help ease my mind when I put it inside a bag with clips and mics that could scratch it

If you buy one, you might have to break out the solder but that really is a 5 minutes job
They also gobbed the heck out of it with the cheapest solder imaginable
They are wired badly with bad solder joints and really thin wires
