As far as being a good program, it's the best in my opinion
, it's a great program I've been using for over 10 years now with my dad's company
Quickbooks is a great program, until they decide to make changes; and when they do, they do not do enough regression testing, or should I say, they let their customers perform their regression testing.
The customer support people are very friendly and helpful, once they understand what you are trying to do.
They charge for everything - have horrible customer support - and aren't the best at standing behind their products.
Figure on an hour once a year with customer support to get the automatic renewal charge refunded and get Payroll activated with the newly Purchased Payroll.
This year I was pleasantly surprised to find that after ordering and installing the software from Amazon, I was able link to it to my existing payroll account upon installation which has always required a call to customer support in the past
Also, don't waste your time with their "Customer Support", unless you enjoy talking to some barely-trained slave laborer in India who is reading responses off of a sheet and has a very low comprehension of the English language

Cancelled that, ordered from Amazon for $200 less plus 2016, thanks for that, Amazon, but why does QB take advantage of customer loyalty by trying to screw them year after year

I made a call to Intuit and received an email that the duplicate subscription was canceled and I would be refunded... a month

Switching to QuickBooks Payroll was a very good decision, and even though there are small nominal fees for additional employees, I believe it is currently the best way to go.
If you're stuck with Intuit as many of us are, this is the most economical way to purchase Quickbooks Pro and Enhanced Payroll
Much less expensive this way, especially for a non-profit trying to manage a tight budget.
We have been using QuickBooks Payroll for the past 2 years and feel it is the best and most economical way to go for a small Business.

It's true they improve the software every year, but most of them tend to be cosmetic

If they would go back to the basics, providing and improving an accounting software, it could be a great product, but alas, they appear to be more interested in marketing products to its users.
I would never recommend this product to anyone planning on using the payroll option.
Product is good but QB's tactic of forcing customers to upgrade every 3 years is disgusting.
QuickBooks does not support the product after a 3 year period and forces you to repurchase.

Unfortunately, the phone number then hangs up on you, so you have to use the website, and the website redirects to another website with no phone number or other way to contact Intuit and nowhere to leave your phone number to get a call back
Now my credit card has been charged for the payroll subscription and when I tried to call the number I was given within the Quickbooks software of (866) 820-6332, it tells me to go to payroll.com/helpme, where I can leave a phone number and they will call me back, so I don't have to wait on hold
