This system is versatile to a point that once established you can change where the water goes, add to the system, make changes where ever you need, and is what I call idiot proof
If you're putting in a comprehensive system, I'd recommend it
I know have a wonderful sprinkler system.

Great Stuff, doesn't kink too easily (er, less prone to kinking than the stuff from Home Depot)
This stuff is great for running straight from one point to another, but if you need to round corners or make a bunch of small holes in this for drip lines, you can do much better than this.
So all of this was enough to force me to go to the big box store and buy the Rain Bird tubing they have there - which is the solid black standard stuff.
This lighter stuff is easier to work with.
the 5/8 stuff is much harder to handle and I accenently got some from a diffrent source

I never have to worry if I missed plants while watering or that I might not have laid down enough water
If you have difficulties inserting the tubing in a barbed fitting, just use hot water in a thermos and dip the first 2 inches in the hot water for few seconds.
A bit on the thin side so water pressure has to be adjusted and/or connecting ends have to be secured with wire to prevent them from coming loose and wasting water.
but if you lay it in the sun for little while it gets soft, just be careful not to burn your hands as it gets hot
