Sound quality is good, I think it has a decent range of bass, mids, and highs

Like I said, the range we can hear is far surpassed by even moderate or low end headphones but that doesn't mean that interference, background noise, white noise and static don't interfere with the listening experience
I've been told that the fidelity of speakers currently far surpasses what t people can discern (assuming it's pushed to the limits) and in general, a 20.00 set of earbuds will get you the same audible range more expensive headsets do.

The retractable mic is great for getting out of the way if necessary, The headphones are soft and don't hurt his ears for extended play and all around the headset is comfortable and doesn't hurt his head

So big they literally left gaps open between the padding, my ears and my head where sound could easily leak out instead of sealing it in for an immersive gaming experience
I wish they could be a little louder, but that would probably hurt my ears.
The cooling ear cups are better and you have to buy them separate
Many times with headphones as large as these, they hurt your ears after a few hours of use, but these are filled with memory foam and they mold to your ear/head shape making them very comfortable
The ear cups are comfortable enough so that my glasses aren't pinched to my head and my ears stay fairly cool unlike my old headset where I'd have to take them

but they do a decent enough job - that, and being able to punch up different audio levels with the press of a button does offer a slight advantage over the Thresher on that score
I know people rave about the Astro A50, but razor did a awesome job on these.

My only small complaint is that the chat/ game balance doesn’t allow me to hear my friends as crystal clear as I’d like ( when using the Dolby surround)
It’s comfortable, compatible, the sound is crystal clear and it’s all good

If you're the type of person who REALLY loves in-game chat, then maybe you'd miss this feature, but for me as a set of pure surround-sound headphones, these are really great and the lack of microphone monitoring doesn't affect my opinion of the Razer Thresher Ultimate at all

Comfort is a major issue with gaming headphones, but less so with this Razer set than any other gaming set I've tried
Comfort is superior as well for longer sessions - it is very light and my ears never feel hot or pinched
But he said the comfort and wireless features make it worth it.
The comfort is better, the audio quality (despite shiny highs) is deeper with a better surround field, and it has a retractable mic that I don't have to worry about losing.
