Other than that, the unit has fine quality, the USB charger is a nice feature for those that need it, it has a nice big display, and it works as advertised.
Reasonable features for the price - would have liked automated daylight savings change that our other alarm has
Great features and price, something I could not find locally unfortunately.
Radio alarm doesn't consistently work, which is disappointing because I love all the other features
Then, the "maximum" volume is not adjustable for the alarm, so when it reaches max alarm volume it is very irritating.
I like the gradually increasing volume of the alarm, but I wake to music and the volume goes all the way up.
My only complaint is that for a split fraction of a second the clock makes a loud noise before starting quiet and slowly rising volume on the alarm.
- this one is a MAJOR negative - when the alarm goes off (I ALWAYS have it to radio), I have it set to a nice volume for myself, however, when the alarm goes off the volume gets louder and louder.
In a matter of seconds, the volume is so loud that the entire house is awake and the speaker is crackling.
I do appreciate the ability to dim this lighted display to a reasonable kilowatt for dark rooms!
The display is bright and easy to read without being too bright.
* Has battery backup capability (battery not included) which, per manual, only lasts 8 hours on an alkaline 9VIn sum, the poor display is a deal-breaker for me.
Dual alarm FM clock radio with USB charging port, and large GREEN LED display.
Dual alarm FM clock radio with USB charging port, and large GREEN LED display.
One of the most annoying alarm clocks I've ever bought.
I use the radio to wake up in the morning because I HATE buzzer alarms
The alarm is loud and wakes me up, which is the main feature I needed
this is a great clock - dual alarms - the alarm is easy to wake up to and does not have an offensive sound - it is one step down from the previous RCA clock I had
The alarm would get progressively louder which allows my wife's alarm to wake her up before it disturbs me.
and I used them both all the time (one for weekdays and the other for weekends and special times), but the radio was too loud to use and I could not use it or the CD because the volume would only go down so far.
Large display, adjustable brightness, good radio receptionCon
The radio still works, but the alarms cannot be set for the times we need
I found an Emerson Smart Set Dual alarm radio with line-in Emerson Dual Alarm Clock Radio Amfm Smartset
This is not a terrible clock radio, but certainly not a great one, either.
If you are stupid enough to buy this after reading all the bad reviews, then the best advice I can give you is, whatever you do, DONT LOSE THE INSTRUCTIONS
While it worked I liked the ramp up alarm, starting low and getting louder
Please ignore all the good reviews on this alarm clock
Despite all of the horrible reviews, I was dumb enough to order it anyway.
* Would be better if auto-dimmed using a light sensor or something* Not especially attractive - looks cheap* Shiny black plastic shows dust/dirt* AUX (mini plug) required for playing your USB device, even though it's plugged into

The plastic is as cheap and ugly as it gets and looks like it was slapped together.
The settings are very hard to understand, the buttons are not labeled clearly and the plastic is flimsy

The sound quality is pretty poor even though my expectations were low.- For such a simple device this clock has a pretty large footprint on my desktop (7"W x
It is a shameful product in that it proposes to be new and fancy with USB connectivity and multiple sleep settings, but in the end gets bad reception, poor sound quality, and TERRIBLE radio functionality.
As others have pointed out, it is extremely poor quality, with a cheap feel
Great quality product, arrived as promised VERY fast...
What sound did come through indicates poor speaker quality as well
As a clock radio, the speaker is horrible to begin with, and it got blown out because there is no way to set a volume limit on the alarm function when you use the "wake to radio" alarm.
