I can adjust the brightness, it keeps good time, and I can charge my phone at night.

I plugged it in and the correct time appeared on the screen - no messing around trying to find out how to set the time

I do not think it is an atomic clock thing but rather a finely tuned clock circuit that produced such an accurate time on start up

(The correct time is programmed in for Eastern Time

Charges an iPhone with no problems and displays the time well.

I purchased 2 of these and they worked ok till we had a power outage, then I tried to reset them to the correct time

Wouldn't keep correct time, Alarm wouldn't work, radio wouldn't work, even the display was messed up

Don't waste your time or money!

power goes out and when the power returns keeps the time right no resetting

I hate having to re-learn how to make electronics work every time I buy a replacement

This new model does not have the time change switch so that you don’t have to mess with setting the time when time changes.

So I set the alarm for the least annoying time and unplug it when I won't be home.

Had to return it - It didn't keep time & hard to set alarm

But the newer phones and tablets probably wont get enough power from this clock to be able to charge in a respectable time.

Trying to set the correct time on this thing is impossible

While it worked I liked the ramp up alarm, starting low and getting louder
