When I have it tight and sturdy as it should be the door doesn’t even open

The gate didn't come off the wall but the latch was not working properly so we tightened the gate and now all is working great.

this gate works perfectly, it only missed 5 stars in my review because if you are using the expansion piece for a wide opening it is extremely cumbersome to hold in place while tightening the pressure plates

Easy to install, comes with an extender if needed, nice looking, kept toddler out of the kitchen until around 20 months old, great price

priced very fair and does the trick of keeping my little one out of the kitchen.

Not returning it only because it's literally the ONLY gate with a walk through door that "fits" my hallway and isn't a ridiculous price.

I knew the price was too good to be true - spend the couple extra bucks and save yourself a lot of hassle.

The item description is misleading as well

Difficult to figure out how tight as to where it will match up and lock but works well once you get it.

Worked around both issues for a non-stair location — was able to secure well with friction only.

It was not a good fit for the doorway that I needed it for and I returned it.

It is easy to install and easy to maneuver and has been the perfect fit and purpose for why it was purchased.

We bought two of these gates because the reviews were pretty great

I bought this a few days ago, it had really fast shipping and really great reviews

Some reviews were not good, but I found I had no issues.

I do believe that a lot of the bad reviews are people not understanding the mechanics behind it

Most negative reviews are from people who are “handy”capped and cant figure out how it works

Really upset with this purchase the title is misleading it says it’s a 47 inch wide gate with a 4 inch and 12 inch extender which is not true

but I don’t like disingenuous titles.

We bought this to keep our standard downstairs love the door !

The gate fits perfect and the door is easy to open and close.

They like each other, but, if allowed close enough, they scratch the screen door

The door to the gate is also pretty tricky to line back up to close it.

It is very tight and the bar that runs across in the middle of the step is almost a tripping hazard.

The gait opens up but there is a bar on the bottom which is a trip hazard for parents

My biggest complaint is the terrible yellow and orange stickers that are attached with some crazy strong glue and are very difficult to remove

I installed correctly to my knowledge and followed all directions but my gate door has a hard time lifting up after pulling the latch sideways

The door has a hard time opening and when it was slightly tight i tried to open it and the metal bent and snapped off

The door is narrow, a heavy set person would have a hard time coming and going

How can you go through all the effort to develop CAD files and design a product, and leave it this poorly designed

Then to execute your poor design this horrifically when manufacturing is just the icing on the cake

Poor quality and bad design, this is the worse gate I have ever seen

Very poor design, sharp edges at eye height for children.

I'm not sure if this is an old design and the quality of their newer gates has gone downhill, or if they've listened to feedback from customers and this gate is a new and improved design
