For proper assembly you're supposed to use the anchor cups, but we're installing in a door frame to keep my toddler in his room at bedtime and do not want to screw into our new door frames, so we skipped that part

It required to drill into your doorframe not the easy assembly written on line.

We have it as “loose” as it goes without being unlatchable, yet it grinds and sticks

One last thing to say is that, I compared the price of this gate on Amazon and at Walmart, and it turns out, the price on Amazon is cheaper, so make sure always to double check the price!

Easy install, great fit and makes life better for me since climbing over a baby gate is an accident waiting to happen as I am getting up there in years.

It's still not a perfect fit but will work as intended.

I purchased two, the first installed and worked great, the second installed ok, but the latch operation was not smooth and the bottom stop was not functional poor quality control

Good quality for the price, I do wish the gate would open in two directions instead of one

Because of this, my dog is able to simply push on it and it falls over

My dogs have knocked this gate down trying to get to the door a handful of times, all that happened

Work great , as a dog foster this keeps my dogs safe and helps with introductions safely

I have destructive dogs that will jump a baby gate in a minute

My dog also has trouble passing through it with an e-collar

I love that it’s taller than most gates so your dogs can’t jump over it, the door is super easy to open and shut

Horrible my 1 and 2 year old daughter where able to break the door off and before that my two year old could open waste of money and time

I have an old house with slightly crooked door frames and it fit very well.

I rate this gate 5 stars because I love the height and door

the latch that I have up to make the gate swing the way I want just falls down which prevents the gate to swing at all or it falls when opening which prevents it from being closed

I like the item but don't like the fact of after two weeks the latch is already hard to lift to open the gate

other than these 2 issues, installation was simple, the gate is sturdy, the gate holds well into the wall and the latch is complex enough to keep the kids in and easy for adults to get out lol.

The latch that opens and closes the opening is easy to use.

The gate in general is actually pretty well built, but the latch is terrible.

If you want to place it at the top of the stairs it's better to get a swing gate as the bar at the bottom is a tripping hazard.

The tiny cat can shimmy through so not great if you have skinny pets?

High enough the cats haven't jumped it, and while my skinny cat can sqeeze through he doesn't often because it's a tight fit

Took him a week to realize he can jump it because it’s so tall, but I didn’t even use the screws to attach it to the wall and it hasn’t tipped over and my cat and the dog have wrestled next to the gate pretty rough

Unfortunately, there is an irreversible step for inserting a spring pin very early on, and the instructions for testing function of latches and locking mechanisms comes much later

the weld broke the first day at the top where the top horizontal rod of the door attaches to the vertical edge

Apparently there is a manufacturing defect in which some of the gates have a weak weld near the gate hinge.

The top weld snapped with the tiniest pressure from our little one

Construction seems solid and the welds are good, and so is the paint

On the first unit I purchased, the weld broke in less than a week.

The pivot points of the plastic latch are wearing out very quickly and it will no longer retract smoothly, to the point that it can be very difficult to open
