Some people love the drums, I personally am not that great at them

Rock Band 2 and newer drum kits that support pro drums are much, much higher, meaning you're pretty much better off getting a professional electric drum kit to use instead (which is compatible with Rock Band 3, by the way),

The drums are accurate and if you can make it to expert on a song , you are really playing the song

Let me start off by saying that Rock Band 3 is an excellent experience.

It's not the full experience, of course, but at least the sucker works for now, and I thank them for allowing for this adaptibility.

There are a handful of features that you need Rock Band 2 to experience that are not offered in Rock Band 3, although overall, Rock Band 3 is probably a smoother experience.

And, you didn't really expect to be able to export the Beatles tracks, did you?Also good: short song load times, dropping in/out, and a better Music Store experience (although PS3 owners don't get the full Rock Band Network selection that XBOX owners get).The online multiplayer features have been neutered.

I have been an avid Music gamer since Guitar hero 2 and when Rockband one came out I was excited for it

The game itself is what you're used to with Rockband I and II, Beatles, etc; a lot of fun, an occasional glitch, some good music

great game, mostly great music, would have five stars if they created pro instrument compatibility with all downloadable content, especially the "RB Country Track Pack" songs, or else make songs that aren't pro compatible download only to RB1 or 2

$150 is a lot less guilt inducing than another $300+ guitar sitting around collecting dust.

All the instruments (with the exception of microphone) can now be played in "pro" mode, which they tout as being more realistic: Pro-Drums require the cymbals expansion; Pro-Keyboard has you playing actual notes ("normal" keyboard simply uses the keyboard for the ol' green-red-yellow-blue-orange gameplay); and Pro-Guitar requires either the new Fender Mustang Controller (a "realistic guitar controller" with 102 buttons and 6 actual strings) or the yet-to-be-released Fender Squier Controller, an actual guitar you play the game with

I suspect this will bite me on the posterior on harder difficulties, but so far, it's working for me

These goals also tend to get tedious, like say you need more fans but you completed most of the general goals, you will have to replay songs on harder difficulties, and it just gets annoying sometimes having to play the same songs over and over on higher difficulties as you get better just to get goals

I've just been going through the easy pro so far, but I've stuck my nose in a couple of harder difficulties just to see what was in store.

I liked the new system of being able to drop in and out of game and change difficulty at any time as opposed to the old way of having to go all the way back to the menu.3
