Reviews around drum (5.00 of 5)

  • Some people love the drums, I personally am not that great at them
  • Rock Band 2 and newer drum kits that support pro drums are much, much higher, meaning you're pretty much better off getting a professional electric drum kit to use instead (which is compatible with Rock Band 3, by the way),
  • The drums are accurate and if you can make it to expert on a song , you are really playing the song
  • I love playing drums but work a lot, so don't have time to do the band thing
  • My husband just loves drums, and I love hogging the mic and getting a serious case of frontman-itis

Reviews around experience (5.00 of 5)

  • Let me start off by saying that Rock Band 3 is an excellent experience.
  • Rock Band is known to deliver an awesome party experience, but what exactly separates this entry from the last two?
  • It's not the full experience, of course, but at least the sucker works for now, and I thank them for allowing for this adaptibility.
  • There are a handful of features that you need Rock Band 2 to experience that are not offered in Rock Band 3, although overall, Rock Band 3 is probably a smoother experience.
  • And, you didn't really expect to be able to export the Beatles tracks, did you? Also good: short song load times, dropping in/out, and a better Music Store experience (although PS3 owners don't get the full Rock Band Network selection that XBOX owners get). The online multiplayer features have been neutered.

Reviews around rock (4.49 of 5)

  • The songs it does have skew very heavily in the metal/classic rock direction.
  • While I personally like heavier rock (and thus enjoy more the GH setlists), it's hard to argue with the variety here
  • You no longer feel like you're playing Rock Band or Guitar Hero
  • Me and my pals were Rock Band 2 crazy and loving it!
  • Not just with Rock Band but Guitar Hero, Frets on Fire, and all the other clones

Reviews around music (4.45 of 5)

  • I have been an avid Music gamer since Guitar hero 2 and when Rockband one came out I was excited for it
  • The game itself is what you're used to with Rockband I and II, Beatles, etc; a lot of fun, an occasional glitch, some good music
  • I love music and I love to play the guitar, so I got this.
  • great game, mostly great music, would have five stars if they created pro instrument compatibility with all downloadable content, especially the "RB Country Track Pack" songs, or else make songs that aren't pro compatible download only to RB1 or 2
  • Graphically the game looks great, and the music sounds great

Reviews around product (4.03 of 5)

  • Thank you for providing us with the opportunity to find great products that are impossible to find anywhere else
  • I would highly recommend this product and buy it from Amazon if you want to save money
  • The product itself is hard to unlock stuff playing one player

Reviews around addition (3.95 of 5)

  • Another big addition would be the keyboard (or keytar if you prefer)
  • The guitar + bass + keyboard combination appears to be the kiss of death; it WILL NOT WORK as of 10 / 30 / 2010.
  • The filtering of music is a welcome addition to the game (being able to set songs you don't want to play, to not show up)
  • The keyboard is a welcome addition and the training feature is enjoyable
  • My son and his friends would watch us, hysterical as we pounded out bass on a Boston tune

Reviews around price (3.95 of 5)

  • I looked for this title in every avenue, and found it with you for a great price.
  • Third, the price for the ps3 version of this game is ridiculous
  • PS3 Rock Band instruments are difficult to find at good prices
  • I picked this up for the PS3 and the songs on it are really great, so if your one of those people who is on the fence about picking this game up now that it's mission impossible to find it at a reasonable price, my advice is this
  • BUT THE PRICE ON HERE FOR RB3 FOR THE PS3 IS INSANE

Reviews around graphic (3.61 of 5)

  • My son and his friends would watch us, hysterical as we pounded out bass on a Boston tune
  • The graphics are good, but here are alot of recycled venues and characters from Rock Band 2.
  • The guitar + bass + keyboard combination appears to be the kiss of death; it WILL NOT WORK as of 10 / 30 / 2010.
  • The graphics have been improved, and they have added cymbal
  • The graphics are better and actually "playing" the game is better too

Reviews around guitar (3.22 of 5)

  • The guitar + bass + keyboard combination appears to be the kiss of death; it WILL NOT WORK as of 10 / 30 / 2010.
  • $150 is a lot less guilt inducing than another $300+ guitar sitting around collecting dust.
  • The Pro Bass mode uses the guitar as well (or so I've heard), which seems pretty stupid, but whatever.2
  • My son and his friends would watch us, hysterical as we pounded out bass on a Boston tune
  • All the instruments (with the exception of microphone) can now be played in "pro" mode, which they tout as being more realistic: Pro-Drums require the cymbals expansion; Pro-Keyboard has you playing actual notes ("normal" keyboard simply uses the keyboard for the ol' green-red-yellow-blue-orange gameplay); and Pro-Guitar requires either the new Fender Mustang Controller (a "realistic guitar controller" with 102 buttons and 6 actual strings) or the yet-to-be-released Fender Squier Controller, an actual guitar you play the game with

Reviews around keyboard (2.85 of 5)

  • Another big addition would be the keyboard (or keytar if you prefer)
  • The keyboard is fun, but kind of difficult to follow up in the "Key-Pro" mode
  • The keyboard is great fun, but being unable to play the game is not fun at all.
  • (I don't know why they have songs in other languages on there.)2nd--the keyboard is AWESOME.
  • Just an FYI.All in all, I highly recommend the keyboard if you're looking for a new challenge in the game, but I wouldn't waste my money on a keyboard stand

Reviews around note (1.80 of 5)

  • The charting also seems superior over GH although there are a few songs I think Harm just put some random notes in for in Expert mode, not many of its 83 songs mind you, but a few
  • While this happens, you will miss every note because it won't recognize any controller input while it's frozen.6
  • (the regular drumset with 3 cymbals and an optional second foot-pedal) certainly do add a bit of depth to the game; however, as a (real-life) drummer I cannot bring myself to recommend the game simply for this, as the two major problems with drums in the Rock Band series have been completely neglected yet again - the realism of the drums, and the missed notes
  • The problem is not the notes being missed, they are just not being detected
  • Leaderboards can be accessed while in band play choosing setlists, navigation on leaderboards is improvedCONS:* Online chat quality in game is seriously diminished, not as clear when you do hear it, and cuts in and out at times like a bad cellphone connection, very frustrating, need a patch to fix this* Glitch in game occasionally without warning boots you completely out of game and to main PS3 menu where you have to restart game, this has happened to me several times, as well as all of my online friends, need a patch to fix this* Audio glitch in game occasionally makes horrendous sound through speakers that lasts about a second or so, but sounds like it could blow speakers out, need a patch to fix this* Guitar solos are not as obvious as they were in RB2 (faint blue outline on edges of note track instead of solid blue note track

Reviews around difficulty (1.00 of 5)

  • I suspect this will bite me on the posterior on harder difficulties, but so far, it's working for me
  • These goals also tend to get tedious, like say you need more fans but you completed most of the general goals, you will have to replay songs on harder difficulties, and it just gets annoying sometimes having to play the same songs over and over on higher difficulties as you get better just to get goals
  • I've just been going through the easy pro so far, but I've stuck my nose in a couple of harder difficulties just to see what was in store.
  • I liked the new system of being able to drop in and out of game and change difficulty at any time as opposed to the old way of having to go all the way back to the menu.3
